We visited the venue for a Glenn Miller concert. The architecture was very 1970s and the auditorium was designed in the round with the parkett (stalls) level set below ground level (it had been blasted out of the solid bedrock- you could see the drill marks on the exposed rock walls!). The acoustics were excellent and there are many twin... More

Going to Berwald Concert Hall to enjoy theire lovely Christmas concert is a must to get that right Christmas feeling. This year it was extra long session due to the "sing along" part which was really great. It is such a fantastic experience so if you have the chance, book tickets well ahead, dress up and be prepared for a... More

We went here to listen to the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra. Probably the best Radio Symphony Orchestra in the world, and the acoustics in Berwaldhallen are great.

Home of the Swedish Radio Symphony and Swedish Radio Choir, this medium sized concert hall, underground in a rock, is a great venue for classical music. Worth the trip through Östermalm to get there.

Home of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra. With their international star conductor (Daniel Harding) they are making waves! Top international level.

Staying in Ostermalm

Neighborhood Profile
Ostermalm
With its high-end shopping facilities and Michelin-starred restaurants, Östermalm is definitely the poshest part of central Stockholm. Here you will find Stockholm’s most majestic residential buildings, a beautiful market hall from 1888 displaying gourmet foods from around the world and the Swedish Royal Dramatic Theatre with its awe-inspiring architecture. At night, legendary nightclubs make the perfect location to observe the natives (and those aspiring to become natives of this exclusive neighborhood) in their natural habitat and to enjoy the latest produce of the Swedish house music scene.
