THE WORLD'S ORIGINAL ICE BAR ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm is the world's first permanent bar made of ice, built in 2002. Every year in April, the interior and design is renewed with fresh ice from Torne River and skilful ice sculptors from ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi in the very north of Sweden. ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm is open all year and has a constant temperature of -7 degrees celsius (19 degrees fahrenheit). The interior is made out of sculpted ice from the arctic Torne River, just like the glasses your drink is served out of. The bar has room for up to 60 people. The entry fee includes a cocktail and a visit lasts about 40 minutes. Children are welcome, and are served a colourful kids' drink. ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm is centrally located on Vasaplan, next door to Stockholm Central Station and the airport shuttle train Arlanda Express. Nordic C Hotel is located in the same building as ICEBAR Stockholm. Since it opened in 2002, the ice bar has become a popular attraction in Stockholm, attracting both tourists and locals who want a slice of the arctic north in downtown Stockholm.

The ice bar was such a cool experience except for the drinks being very expensive! It was so impressive because everything is ice' including the furniture and glasses. Make sure to bring your own warm clothes and do not forget gloves! Some ice bars give you gloves and coats but this one does not. Also, they only have liquor drinks,... More

It cost us about £40 for the two of us to enter and have one drink, it was then about £9 for another drink. The staff were very helpful and friendly and it was a good experience overall. It wasn't very busy however we did go on a Tuesday night.

Came here on my hen do with a few friends. Amazing unique experience. Definitely worthwhile buying the entrance package with an alcoholic drink and re using your 'ice cube glass' for a second one!! Book to go in the afternoon when it isn't so busy!

The ICEBAR is worth visiting, especially if you are staying at the ICEHOTEL (there's not much to do at night in that area), but it is very expensive for relatively small and not strong drinks. There is definitely an aspect of novelty which makes the experience cool and unique, especially if you haven't been to an ice bar before, but... More

Look, if you've never been to an ice bar before, then this is interesting. You are given a warm cloak to wear (it's literally a cloak so I don't think the whining about hygiene is particularly warranted, there is no skin-to-cloak contact), and then you enter the ice bar to see the 'wild encounters.' The sculpted animals weren't in great... More

The icebar is a cool bar and fun tourist attraction. We received an extra coat for cold, but is handy because the drinks are easily spilled, and turns everything sticky. It is fun for a a while, but wouldn't recommend to stay for more then half an hour.

First of all the dressing that they give you smells. I don't think is hygienic anymore to reuse it. It should be washed or changed even. The coctails are no more than very wattered alcohool with some very non matching combinations. The bar is very small with only a couple of places where you can sit down. It is not... More
