THE WORLD'S ORIGINAL ICE BAR ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm is the world's...

THE WORLD'S ORIGINAL ICE BAR ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm is the world's first permanent bar made of ice, built in 2002. Every year in April, the interior and design is renewed with fresh ice from Torne River and skilful ice sculptors from ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi in the very north of Sweden. ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm is open all year and has a constant temperature of -7 degrees celsius (19 degrees fahrenheit). The interior is made out of sculpted ice from the arctic Torne River, just like the glasses your drink is served out of. The bar has room for up to 60 people. The entry fee includes a cocktail and a visit lasts about 40 minutes. Children are welcome, and are served a colourful kids' drink. ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm is centrally located on Vasaplan, next door to Stockholm Central Station and the airport shuttle train Arlanda Express. Nordic C Hotel is located in the same building as ICEBAR Stockholm. Since it opened in 2002, the ice bar has become a popular attraction in Stockholm, attracting both tourists and locals who want a slice of the arctic north in downtown Stockholm.

Before Stockholm, we were Ice Bar virgins. I’ve come across these in Vegas and NYC, but never really had the desire. But, when a lot of different blogs and friends were recommending this in Stockholm, I figured that maybe we were missing out on some icy awesomeness. Well, my *FOMO instinct led us in the wrong direction. Listen, I am... More

Everything is ice from the bar to the cups to the walls... there are lots of cool facts about ice-dwelling animals on the walls and an ice slide for your empty cup to slide down into the bin. Great fun!

I was intrigued to visit Icebar. Its atmosphere is very unique, very impressive, it was really fun to experience the cold bar, with its ice sculptures and engravings, and be able to enjoy a drink from an ice glass. Excellent esperienta is definitely something fun.

It's a great experience to stay there, the service is just perfect. The concept is unique, really. Don't forget to make a reservation on their website. Thet let you stay 40 minutes and i would say that is enough because it's cold and everythin is from ice so no place to sit. The place is small but feels somehow cozy.... More

You book for a 45 minute timeline (book online - even only minutesbefore and you pay a slightly lower price - we paid 195kr each. If you book days or weeks in advance the price is lower still You enter the bar in a poncho and gloves - I was dressed for the snow outside and did not feel the... More

Touristy stop we know, but it was well worth it - we had great fun. Lots of great photo opportunities with tasty cocktails. The lighting was very pretty and the wildlife themed ice sculptures were a really nice touch. We really enjoyed this stop.

Without a doubt, I decided to go to the Icebar knowing that it's a perfect tourist attraction (which I often try to avoid), but this is so unique that I had to try it. I wasn't disappointed - it was really fun to experience to frigid bar with its ice sculptures and etchings, and be able to sip your drink... More

We decided to enjoy a drink inside the icebar while drinking it out of a glass made of ice. Yes they have icebars in the USA and other countries but we hadn't tried it yet so we decided to check it out.

Nice and cool (pun intended) experience. For 205SEK you get to spend 45 minutes in a room where the temperature is kept at -7 Celsius degrees in which everything is made of ice, glasses from which you'll drink included. The room is very very very small and the cocktails aren't that great (and a bit pricey for what you get).... More

Well worth a visit here! Staff were friendly and helpful, venue was lovey, drinks were nice cocktails and the music was just like any pop like bar! Amazing to look at, lit up beautifully and a good laugh taking fun photos. Really enjoyed myself here!
