The architect Carl Möller was only 27 years old when he got the commission to design the church on top of the Brunkeberg ridge. It is completely in the brick neo-gothique style and inaugurated 1890. The church/grave-yard and most of the surrounding buildings are mainly unaltered; standing at Johannes Plan (where Malmskillnadsgatan changes to Döbelnsgatan) the view is basically the same as around 1900...

A must to see in the central part of Stockholm.
Easy access to the hill from, for instance, Kungsgatan - just take the stairs up to from Kungsgatan. Or the escalator from Olof Palmes gata/Tunnelgatan.

I have traveled throughout the world and this is one of the most beautiful churches I have seen. It is not ostentatious but stunning in its beauty. I attended mass there on a Sunday morning. The church was full of worshipers, another good sign of its health. The beautiful Orange brick façade with green copper towers is definitely should be seen. I know churches don’t often get onto the tourist list of things to see, but this one should be.

Only open at certain hours after 11 and before 4, we missed seeing the inside by 10 minutes. There are several concerts advertised on outside pamphlets, which would be amazing to hear with these acoustics. Not much on the outside to see because there isn’t much land that isn’t taken up by the city.

This Gothic church in style was actually built in the 1890's. It sits on a slight hill in the middle of a very beautiful park just about one kilometer north of Hamngatan, which is Stockholm's main shopping street. It is worth a visit because its interior is quite magnificent. And on a warm, sunny day the park that surrounds the church is a great place to just sit and people watch.

An impressive church, in a raised graveyard that dominates its small corner but, not being on a main road, would otherwise be easy to miss. It’s an unusual orange brick with verdigris roof and details so is visually very striking.

I went inside this church. It was a beautiful church with stain glass windows. I wanted to take pictures but my digital camera broke down so I couldn't.

Walked passed here several times. A huge impressive church. Today students from the nearby French international school were using the church. Fascinating

Lots of cheering and banners. Very different to U.K. Graduation ceremonies!

On a very centrally located place but still a little tucked away is this handsome brick church, which few Stockholmers themselves have been in. The cemetery is more famous, not least for von Döbeln grave and it is said that there are ghosts here ... An odd detail Church is that it is built to the south, when almost all other churches in Stockholm is built to the west.
