I went on the cruise out to Drottningholm and enjoyed it very much despite the cool breeze. As it was time to return, two queues formed for the two ferries advertised for 4pm. Only one ever came and the people from the front of the other queue were left behind as the first one had filled up. the extra hour... More

The boat was a little crowded and we had nowhere to sit. We found somewhere to stand indoors but the tour guide pushed us out the way claiming it was the best spot for her microphone. She then swore at us (not thinking we understand Swedish). Food however was excellent and boat ride was very pleasant.

If you wish to Stockholm archipelago from a comfort of a boat seat then this is a reasonable choice. It takes about 3 hours and the tour guide explains the details well. In a sunny day it is very relaxing too!

Wow! This trip was the highlight of our trip to Stockholm and we had a gorgeous sunny day. Quite expensive for us, so we very nearly gave it a miss, so glad we didn´t! From the minute we arrived on the beautifully restored steamboat we felt like VIPs. There are two menu options, we chose the more economical one and... More

We took this tour on recommendation from the concierge of our hotel Hilton Slussen. We knew that it was a long tour and we were prepared for it. But right from the beginning the tour started on a wrong note. When we reached the entrance of the boat, the hostess Anne Marie ignored us and took another group ahead of... More

We took a lunch cruise. 2 hours on the boat. They had very cute Swedish dinner ware sets.( so cute, I ended up buying some later at the department store ) We had traditional dishes. Mine was game meatball ( game was venison ) , my husband had sausage with fennel in it. Delicious ! With a gorgeous view, nice... More

Took the St Erik to Marstrand. It was exceptionally windy but staff were brilliant. Food was good but limited choice if you don't eat fish. A really historic and comfortable boat with flexibility to move between inside and outside easily.

A memorable day out, starting in Stockholm out through Stockholm's beautiful archipelago. Morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and a well balanced excellent 2-course meal means you never go hungry during the day! Guided tours at all of the 3 stops and throughout the tour in both Swedish and English. Informative guides and happy and effective personnel on the boat. You... More

My husband and I went on the archipelago tour o couple of weeks ago. It takes three hours and you have to listen to a guide with the most monotone voice I've ever heard. He told all of his stories about the houses we saw and the islands in one single tone, and that made him a true struggle to... More

Visiting Stockholm for the 1st time we surprisingly were confronted with a Viking-city with more channels and boats than Venice. So what better way to explore the city and its archipelago than on a boat entertained by an enthusiastic Swedish guide. Although we had our reservations to join a bumpy boat trip for retirees we (together with our teenagers) took... More

Staying in Ostermalm

Neighborhood Profile
Ostermalm
With its high-end shopping facilities and Michelin-starred restaurants, Östermalm is definitely the poshest part of central Stockholm. Here you will find Stockholm’s most majestic residential buildings, a beautiful market hall from 1888 displaying gourmet foods from around the world and the Swedish Royal Dramatic Theatre with its awe-inspiring architecture. At night, legendary nightclubs make the perfect location to observe the natives (and those aspiring to become natives of this exclusive neighborhood) in their natural habitat and to enjoy the latest produce of the Swedish house music scene.
