We had lunch at the greenhouse café here on a recommendation and were not disappointed. We were not sure exactly where we were going when we came across gardens filled with beautiful colourful flowers, an abundance of green leafy vegetables, fruit trees and herbs with glasshouses in the background. We were delighted when we discovered this is where we’ll be... More

Went to take pictures of the castle. Large green park. LOTS of people with bicycles relaxing on the grass. Very nice feeling walking through. Play area for children and toilets.

Stumbled upon this place and it was full of Swedes enjoying the sunshine. Plenty of room for everyone though. I took a picnic, luckily as the prices are extortionate!

I walked from the ABBA Museum to this Garden on the island of Djurgarden. Coming in I came up a pathway with a blooming golden rain tree. I stopped to get a picture and realized that the tree was formed into an arch. I walked through and found myself in a vast fruit tree orchard, about two weeks past blooming.... More

A good cafe and awesome plants but a bit too far away and it is not very big or luxerious. The best part is that you an buy fruits and veggies directly from the plant

This is a very tranquil and lovely place if you can pick your days to visit, the weekdays are the best, less crowded and feels more of that city escape you are looking for. The bakery and cafe is great and here you can buy some great Swedish goodies to bring back! I love coming here all year around and... More

We rented bicycles and discovered the Rosendal before visiting Skansen. We loved it. An attraction is the Rosendal Slott.

Neighborhood Profile
Djurgarden & Djurgardsbrunn
The island of Djurgården and its northern mainland extension, Djurgårdsbrunn, impress with a mix of nature and an abundance of museums, while being located in walking distance to Stockholm’s city center. Djurgården not only invites visitors to take endless walks through a beautiful park landscape without having to leave the city, but also offers an incredible range of entertainment facilities, such as an open air museum which specializes in the Swedish way of life pre-industrialization, the renowned Vasa Museum with its legendary sailing ship, and Sweden’s most famous amusement park Gröna Lund, which is more than a 100 years old.
