The canals give a different perspective to the city. Although we did not take a trip on the canals we enjoyed seeing them from the islands. The canals and the bridges make for excellent views and photos of Stockholm's architecture.

We thought the canals were beautiful and elected to do a 1 hour canal tour. The tour was just ok. There was not a great deal to see and it was sort of boring after a while. Several people on the boat appeared to have fallen asleep. There was a commentary through earphones but it was not really easy to hear everything.

Lots of beautiful sites to see but not too much going on in February. Bit disappointed as been to Prague and Budapest at same time and had options to cruise but here everything seems to start in April. Took commuter boat just to get some water experience.

Fascinating place with all its canals. You hardly realise you are crossing onto different islands. We walked from central station to the suburban area. Over a huge bridge then back to the old town area. Then back to the hotel. Thoroughly enjoyable

There are a total of 3 seats in the entire boat worth sitting in. Stupidly, for a tour which focuses on bridges and architecture, the entire top of the boat is opaque and cannot be removed or opened in any way. Being such a wide, flat boat means that pretty much everybody inside is screwed from the outset, and consigned to only ever see what happened to roll past their window. Better luck if you managed the beat the violent scrum of pusher-inners at boarding and manage to get out the back, but even this is covered over by the thick canvas canopy. The audio is good, and informative maps to give an idea of what you could theoretically be looking at at any given moment should your view not being 80% obscured by a poorly designed watercraft. Girlfriend fell asleep very early on as she was basically able to see nothing, despite getting what would be regarded as a 'good' seat. Money pretty well wasted.

Stockholm which is located on both the Baltic and lake Mälar is most beutifully experienced from the waters around it. You can get a sightseeing boat from outside the Grand Hotel and then spend some hours on the canals of Stockholm watching this beautiful city.

Excellent. As we went in winter, the water was icing over, which was fascinating as the boat could still get through. Good view of the Islands.

Mist of the waterways are made by man. After what is left over reclaimed land. It is scenic but wished original landmass were present.

The Stockholm Canals are very scenic. A nice way to explore them is by talikng the number 80, 82 or 89 boats where you can use your travelcard
