Alla Tours' guide in Stockholm, Tim, gave me an outstanding city tour the day after my cruise ended there. He was well informed and was great company as we cruised the waterways in his electric boat. We walked through the Vasa exhibit, City Hall and Gamla Stan, and this fascinating city really came to life for me. Highly recommended.

Just returned from Baltic Cruise which included 1 day in Stockholm, Sweden. We did Alla Tours 5 hour Grand Stockholm tour. The group was only 4 people and traveled in an air conditioned passenger van--which was great since temps were in 80s. Tim, our guide, spoke fluent English and was tremendous in explaining what we were seeing and overall Stockholm and Swedish history. We drove to the old town and spent majority of 5 hours driving and walking seeing the Royal Palace, Fjällgatan Street, Sodermalm Island, Stockholm's elegant City Hall just across Lake Mälaren, Riddarholmen Island (Knight's Island), Gamla Stan, and Vasa Museum, home of the Royal warship Vasa. Since our cruise also included St. Petersburg, Helsinki and Tallinn we signed up for Alla's four city package which reduced the overall price. Alla Tours is an investment well worth the money. See them at http://www.alla-tour.com/.

Our six hour tour of Stockholm was an incredible experience thanks to our guide Asa Danielsson. She managed to show us everything we were hoping to see yet it was relaxed and very informative blending history with Swedish lifestyles. It was our favorite city in the Baltics. The tour was perfectly orchestrated between a driving portion to see the Royal Gardens, 200+ year old peasant houses, neighborhoods on several different islands and other sites including the apartment where the main character lived in "The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo". We then followed this with a delightful walking tour of the old town managing and to reach the Royal Palace for the guard change exactly on time.
Thanks to the encouragement of Ms. Danielsson, our visit to City Hall allowed us to see the most amazing edifice of its type we had ever seen - rich in architecture and history yet holding an incredible human interest due to its noteworthy architect and the fact that it serves as the site of the Nobel awards ceremony. We soaked up a diverse amount of information from Ms. Danielsson which made the Nobel Prize event come alive. On top of this, she provided many tidbits of information about the architect and the many special features which he put into this historic building. It was like viewing a documentary tailored just for us. We acknowledge we likely would have missed seeing this had we not been with a professional guide who was aware of our particular interests.
We were most impressed with Ms. Danielsson's knowledge on such a wide range of subjects which was particularly satisfying to the inquisitive one amongst us. She is a simply delightful, personable and knowledgeable individual who aligns the tour to your interests. Of course, Ms. Danielsson is a licensed tour guide. Her credentials include: developing the official eduation for the Stockholm City Council and presenting Stockholm on numerous TV programs including CBS News, ABC News, TVE Spain, and ZDF Germany.

We had a short stop in Stockholm on our Princess cruise - we chose Alla Tours - Grand Tour in order to maximize our exposure to this beautiful city. Our guide, Tim was charming, very knowledgeable and great at shepherding our rather large group through the city and tours of City Hall, the Vasa Museum and Old Town.

We had a very enjoyable day in Stockholm. We hired a private car with an authorized Stockholm guide by www.stockholmguiding.com. very affordable. The best views from Fjällgatan. Loved to see where the people in the Milleniumbooks lived.

Our Alla tour in Stockholm was disappointing to say the least, and an incredible waste of money (keeping reading, I list prices). First off, we left 30 mins late because 3 people in our tour were late getting off the boat. Please don’t put in writing that you have a “we’ll wait for you for 10 mins rule” if you aren’t going to follow it. You made 17 other people miss touring time waiting for latecomers.
Let me tell you about our tour. First off, our guide, Emil was not great at his job. He was disheveled, and didn’t seem to have his act together. At one point he even forgot who our driver was and tried to have us get on the wrong bus. Was this is first tour ever? This in so many ways is not the job he is suited for. For example, since counting his 20 people was too difficult, he had us “do like gymnasium class” as he said, and line up by twos and count off one by one until we reached 20. It was absurd and embarrassing. To Alla (the owner of this company), if you’re reading this, this isn’t an employee you’d be proud representing your company. There has to be better out there. In addition to our inept tour leader, our bus had a terribly unsafe crack in the windshield (I took a photo if you’d like to see it) and shouldn’t have been allowed to have passengers.
Also, if you’re going to book this tour, you should know that it’s basically a bus tour. You’ll have an 8 min picture stop, a 45 min boat museum stop. The guide will talk for 8-10 mins, then you’ll wander around for the remaining time. Then you’ll get back on the bus and drive around the city for more than an hour. Then you’ll get off the bus and you’ll have an hour of free time in the old town, then you’ll get back on the bus and drive back to the boat. That’s it! I’m not kidding, that’s it, nothing more. We paid $145 per person for this tour. We looked online afterwards and could’ve gotten the hop on hop off bus for $29 each directly in front of our tour ship and a ticket to the boat museum for $14 each.
I took the time to write this because I want Alla tours to improve their business, and I also want to warn people about what they are getting for $145. It was so bad, I’m inclined to ask for a refund.

We took the one-day Alla Tour, based on friends' recommendations. In fact, we used Alla for Warnemuende (Rostock and Schwerin), Tallinn, St. Petersburg and Helsinki as well. Our guide in Stockholm was Tim. He knew the city exceptionally well and had a great sense of humor. With a small group we had lots of personalized attention. Highly recommend this tour and Alla in general.

Kris was a great guide. Our cruise was here for way too short of a time, and this tour gave us a good taste of the city highlights.

I booked 5 cities with Alla and this was excellent. They meet you on time and get going. Alla also makes sure that the groups are smaller in size so you get a real private tour.
Stockholm is a very nice city by itself and was a joy to tour

We were on a cruise which docked in Stockholm for a day, and took a tour offered by Alla. Tim was our guide and he was terrific. There's a lot to see in Stockholm, which is pretty spread put, and there is no way we could see it all in a day. But the Alla tour captured a lot for us. We were on a comfortable bus which did what I would call a "panoramic" view of the city, stopping at several vantage points. Tim was a wonderful tour guide--informative, and available to answer questions not only about the sights, but about the lifestyle in Stockholm and Sweden. He also was very, very funny and entertaining. We stopped in the Old Town (Gamla Stan) and he gave us a walking tour for about 45 minutes, and then we had about 454 minutes on our own there. We also went to the Vasa Museum, which really was quite interesting before returning to our ship. The cost was also very reasonable--about $125 per person, although we received a discounted price of $95 because we also took the Alla tour of St. Petersburg.

Dear Ms. Tudoran, My wife, my niece and I will be arriving in Stockholm aboard SilverSea Whisper on August 11. We will probably stay at the Sheraton, then leave August 14 by SAS to Chicago. My wife is somewhat handicapped and must use a walker or suitable wheelchair/scooter. I should like to arrange appropriate private transportation and private guide trips for 8/12 and 8/13. We have traveled extensively and so, to a degree, we find standard tourist sites less impressive than they really are. We hate crowds and being jostled about. I would appreciate knowing of your suggestions as soon as possible. Thanks, Phil Eaton My wife, my niece and I will be arriving in Stockholm aboard SilverSea Whisper on August 11. On Monday, August 14th, we would like to have a private tour (i.e., 2 of us, guide, driver) for the Vasa, preferably
in the morning. My husband has difficulty walking and I will arrange for a wheel chair. Our hotel is Nobis Hotel-Superior. Please let me know if this is doable and the cost. Thank you. Jane Martin
