This extraordinarily gorgeous Art Nouveau theatre by the waterfront can claim the title of the most glamorous building in Stockholm. Dating from the first decade of the 20th century it had the services of renowned Swedish artists like Carl Milles contributing to its ornateness. Interestingly Prins Eugens also devoted his artistic talents to it. With a facade constructed from marble... More

It's definitely a beauty of a building. Great architecture and it's kept up very well. I would have loved to get into it and see inside, but from the outside, you can walk by, or it's on the stop of all the local tour buses.

This building is perhaps Stockholm's finest art nouveau and also the site of the absolutely most classical theater performances, from Shakespeare to Bergman. The house is also very beautiful waterside location and is the gathering place for sun-worshiping urban walkers.

The royal dramatic theater is located in the center of Stockholm in a very beautifully decorated building. The inside is also a pleasure to look at. The prices for plays are high but worth it.

There is a bundle of highquality swedish actors/actresses that started their career on Dramaten and it is a classic old theatre with all the ingredients for a visitor to have a real good time. Love the building both inside and outside

The building self looks very dull, no colour at all , only the lamps and the statues are goldish. But when you go inside, all is bling.

Just returned from a great play at Royal Dramatic Theater in Stockholm at the main stage. Theater at its best with very good actors and a well worked production. The building is special on the outside and even more so the inside with the main stage, 3 balconies and a beautiful room overlooking Nybroplan where drinks are served during the... More

Unfortunately I haven't been inside, but the building is beautiful, so it's worth seeing even just from outside :)

I like theaters with class. Here the most prominent actors and actresses of Sweden play. The building is old and beautiful. They also have a smaller theatre right in back of the big theatre. If you have a chance to see a play here, join the cultural Swedes for a high class theatre performance.
