About
This touristy trip will give you a good view of the city. It’s a little on the pricier side, but you can stop for a coffee near the top to enjoy the view.

Unique experience but new technology is rubbish
A unique experience. Well worth doing but once done it’s not really worth repeating. But Stockholm Pass allows free entry so worth doing again if you have the pass. However new technology this year involves an iPhone and headset for a better experience. Mine didn’t work and the whole guided tour doesn’t synch with what you are seeing. It’s a good idea but it needs work before offering it. I get cheated out of the experience as I was trying to get the thing to work on the way up so missed seeing the journey up. Then I couldn’t use it any way. On the return I told the staff that it was working and she just said sorry. After we had been to the toilet and returned to the staff she said it was working! Well it wasn’t. Bad customer service

Well worth trying and they're right... it is unique
It is certainly a sight and attraction worth the experience whether or not you are fully satisfied with the views or quality of photographs at the summit. Use the on-line reservation and ticketing service to check availability and tailor make your time of arrival and ascent. All worked perfectly for us and making a short video of the 2 "globes" passing each other on their ascent/descent is a nice memory.

    A one of kind experience
This is a truly unique place and the experience of going up the outside of the largest hemispherical building in the world in a glass gondola sure is interesting. Neither of us is particularly fond of heights but we did this with no issue. The tickets are a little expensive but it certainly is not something you can do every day. The ride consists of going up the outside of the structure on a set track, sitting near the top of the building for a minute or two to get the 360-degree views on Stockholm and then heading back down the same track. In total, it’s about 25-30 minutes. You can reach the area fairly easily using the metro and then about a 5-10 minute walk from the station. The view from the top is not fantastic as the best part of the city is not close enough to see well but you do get a view of quite a lot form the top.

    A must see and do!
This is located a little out of the main city centre but the excellent public transport means it very easy to get to. The Globe is in a location surrounded by a shopping centre, hotels and the Tele 2 Football stadium so a pretty busy area. I love rides/experiences where height is involved so this was just the kind of thing for me. The overall experience lasts about an hour so you have plenty of time to enjoy the ascent and the views from the above. The pods are well sized but I imagine there is a limit for how many ppl can be in a single pod. It is the largest dome structure in the world and like any tourist this is one tour you should definitely add to your list.

    birds eye view
This was an interesting if overly touristy thing to do. The entire trip is about 15 mins, with a short film on the making of the sphere and the a few facts about its history/highlights. The only landmark you can really see from the sphere is the forest park, which i didnt even know existed, still the general view is lovely and they give you a fair amount of time to look and around and take pictures. Its a nice, if not really budget amenable way to spend some time

Great Experience for design and engineering, but views are average
I have been to the Globen many years ago to attend a concert and knew of the Skyview but had never done it. Thought on my latest trip to Stockholm to see what it was like. The pre-flight video was frankly pointless in my view. The pod itself is quite cool and the general engineering in how they’ve got it to work is very impressive. The general views from up top are ok, nothing amazing, but again Stockholm isn’t really a city where you need to go up high. All in all, it is ok, but wouldn’t be worth the specific trip there if you don’t have the time.

Theoretically nice, but unfortunately not in reality
You can spot the arena from quite a large distance, what is really promising. Unfortunately the most impressive view is not possible to get, since the operating hours are 10-16:00. And in general not on Saturdays or Sunday’s. With that kind of thing I‘m expecting to see the city at night, so almost at the whole rest of the day and specifically not at those times.

    Def worth the price
You basically get in, and go to the top and rotate for a bit and come back down. For 16 euro (2022 prices) it was def worth the trip. The view is pretty amazing. We were here in winter and it was not crowded at all. I would do it again.

A Stockholm must do if you like heights and great views
We caught the metro from Stockholm central station to the Sky View ‘Globen’ dome. We paid to ride the gondola to the top and wow what a view. I’d recommend the 30 min metro trip to the Globen. If you like heights and unique views then a great addition to your holiday to do list

    Great views of Stockholm's skyline
I found out about SkyView by pure chance when doing a general search of Stockholm on the Internet. I booked tickets in advance via the website at a cost of Kr130 each (you get e-tickets emailed to you). You get to choose your date and time, and so are guranteed a ride, although when I visited (January 2011) it was not very busy and so you could have got on the next pod quite easily. SkyView is situated within a short walking distance of the Globen T-bahn station, on the southern outskirts of Stockholm. The ride consists of a glass pod holding up to 16 people, which travels up the side of the Ericsson Globe, the world's largest spherical building. Because the pod is attached to the building, you don't feel like you're high up, but the height (130m) is just a few metres short of the height of the London Eye. Once at the top, the pod is stationary for a few minutes before coming back down the same side. At busy times 2 pods operate side-by-side. The ride is great, and you get a fantastic opportunity to see/take photos of Stockholm's skyline. Unfortunately the weather was a little dull on the day of my trip so this did affect the viewing experience. Once back on terra firma there is a souvenir shop and a small cafe for drinks and snacks, but just opposite is a McDonald's burger bar, which would probably be better value for money if you want a quick drink/bite to eat. All-in-all, I enjoyed the ride and it was good value for money.

When you travel 15000 km and you pay a bunch of money you expect to get something for it.
The Stockholm Card included this attraction and nothing was mentioned about any booking.
After significant walk, bus and metro ride, we were told that everything was booked for the day. That happened immediately after the Stockholm Card was seen in my hand.
I.wander what would have happened if I offered cash?
When I asked to talk with the manager I was told that he or she is not available and that "I am boss for tonight! "
Disappointing and rude!
Not possible to book with the Card? Because it is prepayed?
NONSENSE!
This happened on 13/08/14 and I hope the manager will read this, teach his / her employee some manors and correct some policies.

First of all this is bit far from the city center so it requires extra time that includes travelling. One can take metro-19 from city center or old town to Globen T-bana. Our hotel was close to this place so we decided to start our day by visiting here first. On website it said that the gondola leaves every 10 minutes but were made to wait more than 20 mins although there were other people waiting along with us and none of the gondolas were in use.

The visit began with a short video about safety, neighboring stadiums and panorama. The total time of the ride is about 25 minutes. The gondola stops on the top for about 5 mins. The view is good but not breathtaking. The Stockholm card saved us some disappointment.

The Globe may be a fascinating building. A trip with its small sibling crawling at the outside may have its charm, but is a little pricey and offers no extras like coffee on the top or so.
if you want a view over Stockholm - especially central Stockholm - there are better alternatives. Take a walk along "Fjällgatan" just south of Old Town, completely free, a ride up inte "Kaknästornet" (Kaknäs tower), east of the city, or my special favourite, a walk up the stairs in the Storkyrkan church tower in the hearth of the Old Town (if it is open). That will give a fine view over the narrow streets of the Old town as well as the royal castle, parliament and city. There is no elevator, though...
