The area
Address
Neighborhood: Djurgården & Djurgårdsbrunn
The island of Djurgården and its northern mainland extension, Djurgårdsbrunn, impress with a mix of nature and an abundance of museums, while being located in walking distance to Stockholm’s city center. Djurgården not only invites visitors to take endless walks through a beautiful park landscape without having to leave the city, but also offers an incredible range of entertainment facilities, such as an open air museum which specializes in the Swedish way of life pre-industrialization, the renowned Vasa Museum with its legendary sailing ship, and Sweden’s most famous amusement park Gröna Lund, which is more than a 100 years old.

The main exhibit is fun for looking at the Swedish attitude to booze, and the alcohol smells can actually feel a bit potent after a few.

Wasn't at all bothered by the Party is Over exhibition, but the one about Swedish cider is a good introduction if you do the cider tasting after you've finished with the exhibits.

Fabian was my expert, and he showed that there's much more to life than the typical Swedish 'ciders' you can get in British bars, which have too little apple to genuinely be called ciders.

A small museum you make in an hour. Usually they have a special exhibition of one alcohol and its produktion. 2020 it was cider. Also the swedish relation to alcohol is explained but maybe in a stereotype mannen.

Spirit, booze, alcohol, ... Inspiring people for ages. You could tell people tons of things about it. But no! Just some basic facts, a couple of distillery videos and a crappy bar quiz. No wonder they were surprised when I bought the ticket.

Late summer night, the first night in august with a little bit of sun. We spontaneously got a see in the “berså” and had dinner. The food was simply amazing and the servant with the curly hair and big smile made our night unforgettable!

We visited the ongoing Fashion and Coctail event.
Had a great family event, fantastic good welcoming, english was spoken, as we had requested during the event.
Nice drink and a great exhibition.
Can really be recommended, price worth!

Very cool place with an absolute vodka exhibition - you see a lot of advertisements from the earlier times and you have to check all the experience how it feels like having an hanging over very cool

Found the modern art interesting and more so if you drink some of the strong spirits offered during your "tour".
This experience is not for everyone and I certainly wouldn't make it the focal point of my visit....but rather as an add-on maybe at the end of your day while you are still on the island.

The Museum of Spirits is really not more than an opportunity to take your money. It is quite small and you can walk through the entire place in less than half an hour. They have screens placed throughout the museum giving very brief descriptions of the props that you are seeing. The most interesting thing are the bulbs that you squeeze to smell the different flavorings used in alcohol. They also have an exhibit of Absolut Vodka poster/paintings that seems larger than the rest of the museum. Save yourself the entrance fee and buy a drink instead.
