We had a great 4 nights ! We called ahead and we’re told only overflow available.
When we arrived we had overflow but it was powered site. Scotty and staff were having a customer appreciation and made up hamburger hotdog and smokies for all the campers .
Sites were clean and well placed, the office was at the back of the camp and they were in the process of building new shower building! So next year showers at camp not 3 km away.
The Mackenzie River flowed just behind our site!
Fishing was fun , others caught fish.

We camped here for three nights and our spot had a view of the Mackenzie River all the time. It is a nice campground and the host was a real nice person. Bears were active in the area and there was a bear trap set near the campground. But after all ... bears are part of the natural environment in the NT

This campground is so picturesque! Book a site as you wont be disappointed. Clean clean clean, organized, great showers, fire wood for sale, play ground, and a store near by. Oh yea, and plenty of fishing spots.

Admittedly we didn't pre-book this campground, but we were located directly behind the manager's residence and had foot traffic through our site to the washrooms and showers. Whilst the site was powered, the power box location was some distance away from the table and fire pit. It seems all the sites were set up similarly, which we found very unusual.

After staying in a number of Territorial Parks, there are definately pros and cons. The Fort Providence is a nice park. CleN, good roads and drives fast after rain. Sites are generally large and easily accessible to accommodate larger trailers, fifths and homes.
The web is not clear, but note there is no RV water full here. Come prepared with enough water. Showers are a small trailer and could use a good cleaning.

The campground is up above the river with a great view. The shower is a portable trailer shower that had seen better days. The water supply was limited. The sites were big with many drive-thru sites. Has a playground for the kids.

We travel in a 41' 5th wheel so sites are important to us. Website says electrical is 15 amp but was upgraded to 30 amp. There is no water fill at the park but there is a sani dump. Currently, showers are under construction so portable showers are available. Lots of bugs so be prepared. Spacing between sites is very good with birch trees as buffers. We stayed in A15.

When do the campsites for RVs open and do you need to make reservations ? We are thinking of late May or early June for our journey to Yellowknife.
