It's a square where people usually gather. There are some markets, and very close to the center. A statue of the city's symbol, the legendary creature 'griffin' is also located here.

This area is pleasant enough to walk through as you are walking around the old town. Not sure it warrants being anything more than a quick walk-through between points.

Gustav Adolf Torg is arguably the worst square in Malmö.
A Poor excuse for a vast centrally placed former traffic roundabout. Things must have looked very different here before Malmö made the fateful decision to abolish all their tramways back in the 1970s (a development thankfully not emulated by Gothenburg), and the perhaps even more ominous present inclination to avoid reintroduction (contrary to stockholm and Lund).
An abundance of eyesores and bad planning. Windswept and forlorn, 1981 style.

To be honest we took a wrong turn and discovered this square with its Farmers Market. Bought fruit and vegetables. Also on the square you'll find McDonalds and Burger King.

Did a bit of shopping here for a family member and it was a nice cultural square with a relaxed atmosphere and a real easy place to sit, relax and reflect.

During my visit, it seemed that there are some constructions going on near the Public Toilet area. I lke the fountains, the beautiful flowering tulips, vendors selling fruits, vegetavles and flowers, some stands offering fast foods ( were still closed during my early morning visit), restaurants, coffee shops, etc.
What is lacking at this Square are benches for one to sit down and enjoy the ambience!

One of the big squares of the city. But it has absolutely nothing special, it is absolutely banal, surrounded by buildings with nothing special from an architectural point of view. In the middle was a street market for fruits, vegetables and flowers. Some shops on the sides and that’s all.

Malmo has a number of large squares. This one has a grave yard and park in the middle with some fountains. You are likely to walk through it and it is pleasant but not memorable.

The square was nice, a lot of food, but to me it was nothing special, I liked other things in Malmö better.
