Malmo is place for many restaurants, coffee shops, pubs and art. This place is surrounded by options for eating and shopping. Fountains ⛲️ flowers 🌹, people resting on benches. In the afternoon there was some loud demonstration…connected to biggest Malmo pedestrian shopping street and having King’s park just few hundred meters

Gustav Adolfs Tort is one of some squares located near the old town of Malmö, one of the most important cities in Sweden. It is located near the water channel and it is a modern square built in the 19th Century after city walls are demolished. It is ok, a place you walk if you go to the old town.

Around this square there are a lot of restaurants and there is a pool of water with a statue in it. When we were there, the Malmö Festival had just ended, which is why it was a bit messy in the square (faster cleaning should have been done). But taking a walk in the square before a possible restaurant visit can be done with advantage.

Gustav Adolf Torg is arguably the worst square in Malmö.
A Poor excuse for a vast centrally placed former traffic roundabout. Things must have looked very different here before Malmö made the fateful decision to abolish all their tramways back in the 1970s (a development thankfully not emulated by Gothenburg), and the perhaps even more ominous present inclination to avoid reintroduction (contrary to stockholm and Lund).
An abundance of eyesores and bad planning. Windswept and forlorn, 1981 style.

It's a square where people usually gather. There are some markets, and very close to the center. A statue of the city's symbol, the legendary creature 'griffin' is also located here.

This area is pleasant enough to walk through as you are walking around the old town. Not sure it warrants being anything more than a quick walk-through between points.

To be honest we took a wrong turn and discovered this square with its Farmers Market. Bought fruit and vegetables. Also on the square you'll find McDonalds and Burger King.

Gustav Adolf Torg is a minute walk from the Scandic St. Jörgen hotel. This square is named after the King and is the main shopping street with an amazing mix of top brand names on Gamla Staden.

Did a bit of shopping here for a family member and it was a nice cultural square with a relaxed atmosphere and a real easy place to sit, relax and reflect.
