About
Crawl into a real submarine and see exhibitions with focus on technology and seafaring. If you like to experiment, the Ideas Planet is an obvious favourite, and in the Boat Playroom all children are invited to play. The Science and Maritime House is part of the Malmo Museer.

Great experience, especially for families with children! Easy to visit and full of interesting information, combining the technical notions with accessible information and practical experiments. Also the access fees are very low, and you can but an access ticket to Malmo castle which can also be used to access the Technology Museum.

Spent 3 hours here on a rainy day in Malmo and found it really enjoyable. Interesting bits of history spread over 3 floors with an interactive exploration centre on the top floor that kept both big and not so big kids entertained. The trip into to the submarine was our reason for visiting and didn't disappoint with a downloadable audio guide available to take you through this and all exhibits are labelled in English and Swedish. There is no cafe on site but they will let you pop over to the one in the castle nearby and then return. Highly recommend this as something to do if you are staying in Malmo.

The museum has a large exhibition covering various technical topics. When we were there, there was the theme of fashion / textile work as a special exhibition. Thus, something was to be seen for different interests as an addition to the permanent exhibition on shipping. The museum is very interactive, aimed at children. An entire floor was designed for experimentation and self-experimentation. It wasn't too crowded, even though it was season.
With only a small additional fee you can also visit the castle. That's a short walk about five minutes. There is art, an aquarium etc.
Attention, museums in Sweden close very early. These closed at 5 p.m. But much is child-friendly and you make sure that much is barrier-free.
Recommended! Schedule 2-3 hours with lock. Nearby is a fish stand with seats and a park. Parking there are a few with Park App. The tram stops right there (museum line). Admission is cheap for Sweden. An alternative to tourist spots.

When it comes to maritime history, the technology that goes into shipbuilding and navigation is as important as any piece of equipment. This is especially true for museums like the Maritime Museum of San Francisco (MMSF). MMSF is home to one of the largest collections of maritime artifacts in the world, and it’s also home to some of the most advanced technologies for displaying and interpreting these artifacts. In this review, we will take a closer look at how MMSF uses technology to help visitors learn more about maritime history. From virtual exhibits to interactive displays, read on to learn more about how technology can help make your visit to the Maritime Museum even more informative.

I liked this museum. Whilst not revolutionary or a world leader, it was good and informative and fun to navigate. But a lot of the information and exhibits never really offered me new knowledge, and the one exhibit I did have interest in was all in Swedish which was a dissapointment. But overall, a nice museum.

We visited this museum last June and found it very interesting. The old cars, motorcycles, boats and airplanes exhibited in the museum are simply amazing. It is part of our history and it is amazing to see how well they have been preserved. This kuseum is a good place to visit with children.

I used to bring my kids here very often they loved it then and they still love it. Great for you kids and older ones. It’s been newly renovated. Still think they could use a cafe and more welcoming entrance.

There was only a couple of attractions that I wanted to check out whilst in Malmo and this was decidedly better than the Konstmuseum. Lots of cars, engines and basic transport information and a good yet claustrophobic climb through a submarine. It's well worth using the free entry which you get if you buy a ticket for the konstmuseum 200 yards down the road but for just the one entry? Stick to this and avoid the boring Konstmuseum

This was a fun little local museum. There are a half dozen historic planes and a couple dozen historic cars, motorcycles, and motorized bicycles here. There is a Swedish military submarine outside and some maritime exhibits too. It doesn't take too long to see. The ticket covers this museum and the on at the Malmohus castle.

Hi Mariia,
Unfortunately, the exhibition about the bridge is closed. The bridge was a temporary exhibition and was exhibited at Malmö Museums in 2015 and 2016. Best regards, Saskia, Malmö Museums
