This is a fascinating small art museum in the centre of Lund focussing on preliminary sketches of art works. Some of the completed works are in the museum but the bulk are elsewhere, such as works by Christo and Henry Moore. They give some insight into the process of creating a work of art, hence the name of the museum. There is a Swedish gallery, an international gallery, the highlight of which is three large paintings by Sonia Delaunay and a Mexican gallery containing works by Diego Riviera, as well as preliminary studies for large murals at Mexican Universities. Well worth visiting.

I found the museum very exciting. There are many different galleries, such as one dedicated to Swedish art and one dedicated to Mexican art, to name two. It is easier to see everything with a guided tour. You have to read in two different books alone to see the sketches as well as the finished products. That's a little difficult at first. The booklets and guided tours were available in English and Swedish.

This is a must if you go to Lund. The building was expanded in 2016 and it is better than ever. Mostly sketches but many are close to final products. Also nice cafe.

It can be interesting to people who like modern art. If you are in the city make sure you give it a go.

One of my favourite places to visit in Lund
Interesting collection of draft pieces by very talented artists, some very well known, like Matisse, Diego Rivera and Henry Moore. Nice explanations on pieces and info on where the final version is on display
Great restaurant too but make a reservation, extremely popular

The Skissernas Museum calls itself a "Museum of Artistic Process and Public Art," created on the premise that an artist's sketches or models are as interesting as the final product. There is an emphasis on Swedish art of all periods, but there are also sketches and studies by Henri Matisse, Joan Miro, and Henry Moore.

Lovely little museum that we ended up at a rainy day. We really enjoyed the museum and it is well built up and a lot to look at. It was much bigger than expected. It is definitely worth a visit. Located centrally, decently priced entrance and easy accessible.

Our team of advanced analytics went to this museum to focus on the creative process. From sketch to masterpiece. It has a lot to offer on sketches, even sculptural ones, and the guided tour adds a lot of insights. Very inspiring.

We visited with friends and there children of young age (4 and 6), the children found the building and art as interesting as the adults. Unfortunately the workshop/creative studio was closed this day, we got the impression from there homepage that it always was open.

I was to Lund for a few days and I visited the nice Museums of Sketches for Public Art, which is an art museum at Lund University in Sweden, dedicated to the collection and display of sketches and drawings for contemporary monumental and public art, such as frescos, sculpture and reliefs. They had very nice sketches of famous Swedish artists, but also foreign artist as Henty Moore, Diego Rivera and Henri Matisse.
