- Voyage87637Sandbach, United Kingdom113 contributionsBeauty and history combinedIt is a lovely tranquil building. There's so much history, interesting architecture, and religious art. From the intricate metalwork on the main doors to the wooden model of the cathedral, you'll be enthralled at the detail. The sun shines through the staindglass windows, throwing beautiful colours and light shards into the heart of the building. We were also lucky to see an art exhibition in the crypt.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 29, 2024

- Patrick G36 contributionsThe clock, the giant and St. Lars. This Lutheran cathedral is spectacular. Although this is a holy place, the atmosphere is more open and relaxed than what I am used to at such places. The staff at the cathedral are helpful, friendly and engaging. They told us the story of St. Lars and the giant Finn. It's worth hearing. The clock is also an interesting site. It rings at 12 noon and at 3pm on weekdays. Lastly, there are crypts at the basement level. The architecture, stories and atmosphere make this place worth visiting.Visited September 2024Traveled with familyWritten September 9, 2024

We stepped inside this very old grayish big building and found that the looks of the interior matched the outside looks, but maybe just a little bit darker. There is some amazing decorations if you look closer but the light have difficulty to shine bright enough. The atmosphere inside is heavy as if the accumulation of time has been building up.

The cathedral is lovely and steeped in historical atmosphere. There is beauty in abundance in the main building and a heavy brooding atmosphere down in the vaults.
There is much made of the astronomical clock and how imperative it is to see it when it bursts into life. The clock itself is beautiful and fascinating the show it puts on I’m afraid turned out to be a damp squib!! We, as part of a small crowd, and a TV crew waited a good twenty minutes for the show to begin and it was over pretty much as soon as it started. Twenty minutes of my life I won’t get back !!

The crypt in this cathedral is fascinating - so different than any we've ever seen. Fabulous columns that were carved as twisty spirals or geometric patterns and even one that had a "giant" hugging it. There were wonderfully carved grave slabs, too. Upstairs is not terribly interesting, although there is an enormous candlestick. The astronomical clock is very cool the way it can tell not only the time and date, but the position of the sun and moon and even the phases of the moon, and whether it was daytime or nighttime. If you aren't there when it goes off twice a day, just watch it on YouTube.

The church is very beautiful from the outside and the astronomical clock is very impressive. However, it was very difficult to get around the church to look around as it was crammed. I think an event had just finished. I think they should post something on their website when they’re having events, I would have gone at a different time

The huge cathedral is Lund’s main attraction and the building is amazinggggg. Located on a short walk from the central station, it’s a must visit when in Lund. I also bought some religious items from the shop nearby.

We stopped here on August 24,2022 as part of a tour. The castle is filled with history. The exterior was being worked on at the time of our visit. The interior had many interesting things to see. The undercroft also had many historical items to view.
A very interesting place.

Hard to time visit to clock as the schedule is nowhere to be found online, including this review.
