Different exhibitions on art, history and nature, all of them quite small, but most of them interesting. I spent maybe about an hour there and really enjoyed it. It was my first time in Sundsvall, so this museum was a very good starting point. There...More

The museum itself just didn't fit together for me. Another reviewer said it wasn't "cohesive" which I agree is a good term. They wanted to make appeal to such a large audience they lost the focus of what they wanted the museum to represent. The...More

We walked the city 'storgaten' from our Scandic City Hotel admiring the interesting 'turn of the 20th C' architecture along the way. Arriving at the Sundsvall Museum, we discovered an architect had connected 4 of these 1890's buildings with glass providing for a large open...More

Kulturmagasinet is an interesting place to visit, I am using the word interesting in a mix of the British and American vernacular when I say that. What I mean is that if you like museums, quiet and somewhat dry information then this is worth while...More

The permanent exhibitions about the town history are well-built and worth a visit, and some of the other displays are very good as well. However, most of the museum is in Swedish only.

I love that there are places like this: a meeting point for culture. But the majority of the different exhibitions didn't feel cohesive. Felt a bit like "we take what we have and put it here".

If rainy go and actively sit here. Read about the towns history, let the children play, have a cup of coffee or just look at the others.

Considering Sundsvall is a very small town with a little over 100,000 inhabitants, this is a good little museum and well worth a visit. The Kulturmagasinet is located near the city center bus terminal, near the best spot in any town. The building itself is...More

I can't give a high score because it is not the National Gallery or anything! But is is a lovely place to visit if you are in Sundsvall. Very good photographic exhibition. Just a nice space, and well looked after.

Museum where there is something for all family. Nice building, bright just to sit and spend some hours working or drinking coffee with a friend. Small but nice souvenir shop with very friendly employees.
