A great way to display art and also use an old psychiatric hospital grounds . It’s fun to walk around and find the sculptures as we didn’t have app on Phone . We walked out from town 1 hour straight road and back by river ! A lovely day out !

This is an interesting and slightly bizarre art experience. Be sure to get the map from the tourist info downtown first. The sculptures are spread out around buildings and in the trees and although you can stumble upon many, they are also easy to miss. The map is super helpful (wish I had read this before I went). :)

This area, filled with art is one of the best places to go in Umeå. There is something for everybody, regardless of your knowledge and interest in art, Children love it, and you can come back over and over again.

In the wooded grounds of the former hospital, the 50 or so sculptures are worth the walk. We visited on a hot day in May, and spent an enjoyable couple of hours strolling in the shade of the trees.

I think you should visit this place in the summer to be able to see all the statues there are. We took a walk in the area in March and of course there was a lot of snow! Kids loved to explore the area anyway and we had fun.
