Living in Queensland, Australia my husband and I really enjoy travelling to other countries and viewing and taking photographs of wildlife unique to each area. When we travelled to Alaska many years ago we only got to see one moose in the wild. During this holiday in Sweden we did see many wild moose but at a fair distance and mostly half hidden behind trees. They proved very difficult to photograph and it was impossible to appreciate their massive size. Therefore being able to get up close and pet the farm raised moose at Cape Wild was a very special once in a life time experience for me. It was quite a trill standing eye to eye with Scandinavia's biggest wild animal and hand feed them. We were also able to capture some full frame photos of the moose including Zebbe with his full crown of antlers.
After feeding the moose we entered a cabin and were presented with a short slide-show and talk about the farm raised moose, wild moose and reindeer. We found the talk well presented and interesting. We then went outside again, this time to hand feed the reindeer, many with beautiful silver and white coats.
The whole tour only lasted for over an hour. It was a very pleasant experience which most animal lovers would enjoy immensely. Highly recommended.

We spontaneously booked a visit to Cape Wild. It was a great experience to see the impressive moose so close and with a very small group of visitors. We were able to pet the moose and feed them. Thomas gave us a lot of information about the moose. Afterwards we were able to pet and feed the reindeer. It was a great experience that we would definitely recommend.

Cape wild is a lovely place to visit. It was easy to find and genuinely beautiful.
We were warmly greeted and introduced to the place and the moose.
We were able to see the moose up close and could pet them. Plenty of photo opportunities! The moose are very well cared for and are stunning to look at.
We also got a close up look at the young reindeer who were adorable.
Will try and visit again next year to see how Cape Wild changes and to see if they are lucky enough to have any new calves.

We had a brilliant time meeting the moose and reindeer. Thomas was very accommodating fitting us in when our plans changed. Really smart new facility with the 3 friendliest moose you could ever meet! A really great value trip, highly recommend.

Firstly this is a must for anyone visiting Luleå.
We arrived early for our visit and ran into Thomas at the gates who could not have been any more accommodating opening up and telling us to wander down and he will meet us at the park.
Thomas met us after our walk up passing the wild boar and amazing scenery. He greeted us again and took us to meet the three moose, who we hand fed whilst Thomas gave us lots of information with a real passion. After feeding the moose we went inside and were served a sample plate of locally produced food and drinks which were fantastic.
Thomas then gave a slide show presentation with lots more info followed by hot coffee over a camp fire with cake made by Thomas's partner made with Arctic berries which was delicious.
We then went to see the reindeer which again we had the chance to hand feed and have to say watching reindeer eat we all agreed is a most relaxing experience.
We then went back to the cabin and was able to purchase some unique souvenirs including a beautiful painting by a local artist.
This has been a highlight of our 7 days in Luleå and really do recommend a visit to Cape wild.
We will certainly visit again on our next trip as Thomas has bigger plans for the park.
Thank you to you both for such a memorable visit.

We went here in early december, and it was a truly just a great time. We met, fed and petted all three of the Moose, and it was actually a surprise just how tame they were! We also saw the wild boars, and the Reindeer.
You can tell that there was a lot of hard work and heart that went into building and maintaining this place, and the owner Thomas who guided us, couldn't be nicer!
Overall, meeting the animals, and the information we learned during our tour (Blessed Moose trivia for the soul), we couldn't be happier with our visit, and based on the things we heard Thomas is planning to do to expand the park, we're very excited to visit again! :)

Today we took a break from our long drive. Met with Thomas. He is an amazing host who adds greater value to the experience. Had a chance to feed the Moose(s) and learn about them. Would recommend stopping by on your way through if you’re interested in getting up close to the local fauna.
