Visited the Cave as part of a visit to the restaurant next door. The Sommeliers were very friendly and helpful and both spoke excellent English making up for my poor french. The selection of wine and champagne available are both varied and across the price range so something for everyone. Well worth a visit.

Worth coming here just to talk to the gentleman running the shop, who is friendly, bubbling with enthusiasm, and well-informed. If I am totally honest, I wasn't carried away by many of the wines he has, but there were some good choices in an eclectic list which represents the whole of France, not just one region - and it would... There was a warm welcome and Benjamin explained a lot about some nice Champagnes which we tasted. There are also a lot of great wines and special products available in the store. For example we tasted and bought a rum with bananas inside the bottle.

On our way south we wanted to stay overnight near reims. However we were unaware that this was the Champagne Festivities season. No room at the inn doesn't describe our experience looking for a bed. I am partially disabled and was feeling worn out. We finally came to La Cave du Bois Joli and my husband thought they might be... More

We just visited this wonderful 'cave' and when I looked it up on tripadvisor and I saw the comment of the visitor of the 25th of May, I just needed to comment. Because our experience was quite the contrary. An excellent welcome, showing us where we could find what, and a very good explanation of the different champagnes and such.... More

I have never been so offended walking into a shop to browse the selection available. Having just visited many of the big houses in Reims, I wanted to purchase a nice bottle to have before dinner. My boyfriend and I walked in and went towards the vintage cooler as this is what we were most interested in purchasing. As soon... More
