It is definitely worth to go here!! Quiet and peaceful. Most spectacular cliffs in Ireland. If you have the time, go for a cliffs walk see the different views from the top of cliffs. (Wear the hiking boots is better than the running shoes and don't forget the rain coat.)

After 10 work trips to Dublin, I decided that my husband and I should take some time to actually do some Ireland tourist activities. One of my dreams was to see the Cliffs of Moher. Colleagues from Donegal suggested the Slieve League Cliffs instead and boasted that these are the highest cliffs in Europe. Yes! the Slieve League Cliffs are... More

Getting to these cliffs is a small adventure though the signage is adaquate. Since it is off the beaten track it is not hugely crowded like the Cliffs of Moher or Giant's Causeway. If you park in the lower parking lot you'll walk uphill about 20 minutes to reach the view point. Try driving all the way to the top... More

We visited Slieve League on a beautiful day and the view was breathtaking. Be careful as you approach the cliffs as there is a carpark at entrance. This is 2km from the actual cliffs and it's made to look like it will be a short walk. If you want to save yourself a long walk drive to the second car... More

An incredible place. Beautiful because the nature and because there aren't to many tourist as there are at the cliff O'moher. The road to the cliff is not so difficult with car and even with a mini bus so enjoy the place and locals

This is a wonderful, scenic place. However, be prepared for a rather long and uphill walk from the car park or a very windy private road from the car park. If you're fit and well, go for it!

Drive in past the first car park as far as the road goes. Fantastic views. Well worth a visit. Rocky path right up to the top, but didn't venture as no suitable footwear with us.

We did the boat trip with Paddy Byrne who works out of Teelin pier. We were so impressed with him. He was so engaging and made the trip funny and exciting. He showed is all the features of the Cliffs and brought us to a wonderfully clean and calm "pool" where we could have leapt in if the mood was... More

Our guide (affiliated w/Tee Linn Cafe?) could not have been a better historian/educator. He taught and showed us all about peat and also helped us find the white numbers in the ground (made from rocks) which helped to guide the American military pilots along the coast during WWII. A fascinating, little known history of the beautiful local area.

Breathtaking! Spectacular! Jaw-dropping! If you are anywhere near Donegal, you MUST go see this area. Give yourself plenty of time to walk around and take it all in. One of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Pictures do not do this place justice. You must see it!
