Visited here on a whim and was so overwhelmed of how beautiful this place is! About 30 mins drive from killybegs Donegal.. The drive up to the cliff is somewhat dangerous so u need to be careful there. Once you get there ,there is a...More

My wife and I did the route up from Bunglass, keeping to the cliff edge. I nearly tried the rocky scramble on the fin, but chickened out down the gully of shame. The route was longer than we thought, and we bailed at the top...More

Amazing place with a great view. Much nicer than popular Cliffs of Moher or Giants Causeway with the rip off prices for entrance and parking. It's really worth walking from the other side ( pilgrim path). there are limited parking spaces but you can find...More

One of the highlights of our trip to Ireland was hiking around Slieve League in the sunshine. This is one of the highest sea cliffs in Europe. Really amazingly beautiful.

This tour was recommended by the tourist ladies in Killybegs - and due to it being a clear day, they said to go immediately! So we did. I had read a bit, and knew to open the gate at the bottom car park and take...More

You can hike or you can drive, your decision! When you get to the gate, open it, drive through, close it and drive onwards and upwards. The approach is awesome. We arrived just after a party of Americans so latched onto their Guide. Very interesting information...More

This is a must see. It is obviously out in the middle of nowhere where the sheep roam but beautiful views and you become one with the sheep.

Beautiful hike! Definitely a good activity if you are in this part of the country. The hike can be as long as you like, I am certain you could be up there for hours! Be careful, it is steep and can wind you if you're...More

Recommend by the hotel as a must see and they were absolutely correct. There is a gate which should be kept closed which takes you to the highest point and the views are breathtaking. You can park in one of the lower car parks but...More

We set out for Slieve League and took the pilgrim route so we parked our car in the first small car park which holds just 3 cars and has a picnic table and walked up to the top of the cliffs which took just over...More

No. There is no regulated gate or entry. But leave enough time to experience the Cliffs. As there is no safety railing, or paved path up, leave plenty of daylight.

The drive up to the second car park is narrow in parts, but not difficult. We didn't go on the boat tour, so don't know if it is worth it. The best time of day is probably in the afternoon - it will be busier, but the sun... More
