I came here on 31 August which is the last day of their Hamlet Live performance this year. They bring the play to life by acting out different scenes throughout the castle - this means you need to be aware of the schedule and be...More

While in Denmark, we visited Kronberg Castle and all of us were fascinated by it. I think the best part was the live performance of Hamlet. We had 3 children, ages 7 and 9, and 9, with us, and they loved it as much as...More

Furniture, paintings & tapestries are not well explained. Enactments of free interpretation of scenes from Hamlet are entertaining mostly for kids. Tours in English are cursory. Would not recommend spending a full day here.

We went on a Saturday and they had actors reenacting parts of Hamlet (in English) all over the castle. Make sure you check the posted programme to catch a part you want to see. In-between acts you can visit parts of the castle and go...More

I would allow half a day to see everything. I had purchased the ‘Copenhagen Card’ which includes all museums, entrance fees to the castle plus public transport. You can purchase the tickets upon arrival but I guess during... More

Maybe 3-4 hours. The time you spend inside the castle depends on your interest.
