Neighborhood: Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.

I visited this shop on a recent visit to Copenhagen and have been wanting to write a few words about my experience. The owner was very kind and helpful and although I did not ask her age, there is no doubt that she is a fountain of knowledge after a lifetime of working in the Danish antique business.
It is so nice to spend some quality time in a shop surrounded by beautiful old china and other nice things - almost like being in a time bubble.
I hope to get the chance to revisit Copenhagen and this shop.

My wife an I discovered this lovely little antique shop in the cellar of a building just behind Tivoli Gardens. This shop is filled with lots of different chinaware and all manner of esoteric items . The best part of the store is the kind and warm welcome you will receive from the owner. She loves to chat and will fill in in on the background of her many items. If you don't see what you want, just ask and she probably has it somewhere in the store. If you love Antiques, then don't miss this wonderful shop on your visit to Copenhagen.

I visited this shop in my latest trip to Copenhagen and had a very pleasant experience. Owner is very friendly and kind woman who is capable to help you with anything you need. She has rather good knowledge of every piece in the shop and is willing to tell you history behind it. The place has its own magical vibe and you can't go wrong with buying any beautiful piece there.

Small but packed. Lovely lady runs this antique shop, so if you’re looking for vintage or antique Royal Copenhagen ceramics, this place is well worth a visit.

I do apologize that I was not in the shop on the day of your visit. Thank you so much for trying to visit. I do occasionally have to close due to illness or other errands, but if I could ask you kindly to call on the number on my website a few days in advance on your next visit to Copenhagen then I will be do my best to be open. I try as much as possible to be open from Monday to Saturday from 11 to 5pm.
To the other very kind reviewers. on this website. Thank you so much! I am so sorry I don't have time to thank you all individually, but I will do it here. It means a lot to me and I thank you all for visiting GB Antik.

I am always looking for charming old souvenirs and found this shop by coincidence. Loved it. And the lovely owner had great stories to tell from her childhood in Copenhagen.

I had originally discovered this gem in a guidebook; following that reference up online, I put it high on my "to do" list while I was in Copenhagen, Located on a quiet street near the Glyptotek, though small in size, the shop is treasure-trove, with a heavy emphasis on porcelain, china, and crystal/glassware. I was fortunate in finding myself the only customer at that time, so I had privilege of having the undivided attention of the owner, a charming lady who certainly knows her merchandise. I was looking for a Bing and Grondahl figurine - of which she had a selection - to take home as a souvenir. It meant basically having to look through each display case (no hardship, I assure you) until I found one that would make a perfect companion piece to one I already have in my collection. That taken care, I had the pleasure of spending a good half-hour or so simply talking with the owner, and came away even more impressed - and delighted - both with her and with the her shop.
Cautionary note:: again, I stress the fact that the shop is small, and it might be best to visit at a time when you're not unencumbered with other parcels, coats, umbrellas, etc. (I was so scared that one false move of one of my arms or one of my feet would send something shattering the floor.)

I truly enjoyed both shopping and talking to the owner. We discussed Royal Copenhagen trends and history and connected on our individual appreciation of specific pieces. Visiting this shop is an experience in itself and the pieces are very reasonably priced, in excellent condition and of great variety. A true find.

We went looking for a local antique store for keepsakes to take home from our trip. We found this little antique store and it is such a lovely store. The owner was very kind and welcoming and we loved hearing her stories about her shop and her life. The store mainly carries antique local china and figurines, but she helped us pick out some art prints that were perfect to bring home. Prices are reasonable and she packaged everything up in bubble wrap to ensure a safe trip home.
