The tower of Christiansborg houses two attractions: The view from the top floor (no admission fee) and the restaurant on the floor directly below it. The restaurant in the tower of Christiansborg is the only restaurant in Christiansborg open to the...more
You may have to queue - both in the gateway outside and - after you have passed an airport-style security check - again in front of the lift/elevator (which only holds 8). This will take you to the restaurant floor, from which a second lift/elevator...More
We had a conference dinner arranged at Restaurant Tårnet. Excellent 3 course set meal with matching wine. Lovely interior - with very high ceilings as you are right within the tower building. Service was superb and very professional. This is an excellent venue for a...More
First of all, - this is the place of power in denmark, where the Prime minister is situated almost everyday, when in Denmark... Vey nice location - go to the view area first and see Copenhagen from top - beautiful...

The Taarnet is part of the Christiansborg Palace complex, so if you go to Christiansborg and have the time, you should go up.
Between Taarnet and Rundetaarn... I would pick Rundetaarn for a great city view. Taarnet seems a bit distance in comparison.
Like the title says there is a nice view from up there, but it's a bit cumbersome to get to the top (there's a long queue including a security check like at the airports where you even have to take off your belt.) And after...More
Came here very early after touring the palace and was the first in line since it opened after 10:00am. There is a security check point and the elevator can only hold limited people so expect a wait. The views were amazing and is worth the...More
You'll appreciate the views all over Copenhagen. In fact, you can see the Rundetaarn much lower down and lost in the rooftops. To get there, you queue for the slow lifts and unnecessary security check. Strangely it still seemed unpopular, but since it's free, go...More
If you are in Copenhagen, you must visit the The Tower at Christiansborg Castle. It's free and there's a beautiful view from the platform over the city.
There is also a restaurant but you have to book in advance and it's rather expencive.
There was a long queue, but every review said it is worth the wait, and it was. We visited only the view platform. The view wasn't that spectacular, so don't be disaponted if you don't have time to visit. It is a free attraction, but...More
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding
neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
