The area
Address
Neighborhood: Amager
In the eastern part of this neighbourhood, visitors will discover Amager Strandpark, a beach area which has become increasingly popular. It’s only a 30 minute bicycle ride or a 10 minute Metro trip away from the city center. Only a few hundred yards inland, some of the most creative musicians, artists, and writers in Copenhagen are occupying some of the old storage houses and production facilities. The western part is one of Copenhagen's most rapidly evolving areas, here you’ll find international architecture of the highest rank, the state of the art TV-Byen (the Danish pendant to BBC), a golf course as well as Copenhagen's best (and tiniest) ice bar.

I would like to express my huge disappointment of my recent visit to your casino today, on Friday 7th of August around 9:30 pm.

Whilst I was playing a slot with a friend of mine we realised that the machine was really loud so we instantly put the volume bit down. Suddenly a stranger came behind us and pressed the volume button to silent mode.

As you might understand, people are superstitious whilst playing the games. My usual habit is playing games with sounds on as I strongly believe they enhance my luck.

Anyway, the stranger came and pressed the button to silence the machine and started immediately shouting to us that the machine is too loud. I said to him in a polite manner that if he had asked us to reduce the volume we would have done that. Instead Of that he started threatening us and using f-word and we immediately seeked help from staff.

Apparently the man involved in this incident was told to be a regular customer by your staff and we were REQUESTED to choose another slot machine. Also this particular man was quite far from us at the smoking cabin and not even close to the machine we were playing.

I hope you understand we lost all interest in playing as we believed the chosen slot was a good one.

I would like to raise it to your attention as well that the trip to this Scandinavias biggest casino had been a dream of mine. I haven’t had an holiday for nearly 12 years and I was really looking forward to spend a exciting evening at it. Obviously we had withdrawn quite an amount of cash to spend during the night. Unfortunately in this case this visit was a really upsetting experience.

I hope you treat this complaint seriously and start necessary training for your staff for future incidents like this and I hope you’ll invite us back during our trip which will end on Monday.

I also hope that we already had spent a fabulous day at Copenhagen and this was was supposed to be the highlight of the evening.

Never have I been to a casino where they not request but the croupiers demands that you give a portion of your winnings. The word flabbergasted can only describe the disgusting behavior of the staff there. Entrance is very high. Go to Malmö instead where they are civilized and do not ask for money.

First time I see casino that you have to pay the entry, and really expensive.
You pay even the drinks.
Almost impossible to earn in slots
And incase anytime you earn smth, they ask you for tips
Like mandatory.
You will regret so much for going there.

Upon arriving at Casino Copenhagen, I was surprised to have to pay an entry fee, especially compared with casinos in both Australia and the US which do not charge. This casino has a few blackjack, roulette and poker tables, in addition to numerous slots. Only need to spent a short time here as the casino is quite small, but would still recommend a visit if you are a keen gambler.

An absolutely disgraceful excuse for a casino. Firstly they want to charge you to enter the place (110DKK, despite me staying at the hotel). Secondly they have a terrible selection of tables/poker machines - most RSL's in Australia have a better selection. Thirdly, the atmosphere was largely depressing and I found the staff to be ratter arrogant and aggressive. Definitely a waste of time in this otherwise good city.

Visiting a casino in Nordic country is probably never a good idea. Not only they do charge a daily entry fee (for the privilege to blow away your money), but also have posted exact instructions at every gaming table when and how much you should tip the staff! One who follows these instructions will probably never walk away as a winner. They have over 10 gaming tables and a relatively large poker room. Blackjack, roulette, baccarat, ultimate Texas Hold'em, and, perhaps, one table of Viking poker (presumably, Caribbean Stud). Blackjack only dealt from continuous shuffle machines. If you must gamble, in Copenhagen you do not have a choice anyway.

Apart from entry fee of 110 Danish Kroner if you win in Roullete then there is COMPULSORY tip of 3%. if hit straight up then you have to leave one chip for them. THAT IS COMPULSORY. I did not know that. I was informed. At first I thought I am misinterpreting, as I don't speak Danish. Thes people speak English but not so good. A guy, who was playing and was winning but NOT TIPPING was asked to leave. Believe me I am not misinterpreting anything. The guy was Danish, he explained me in in broken english

On my last night of my Northern European trip I really wanted to experience a European Casino so headed to Casino Copenhagen on a rainy Sunday night.

This is really only a place for desperates and as in absolutely no way keeping with the otherwise glorious style of Copenhagen. $20 to get in, they take passport copes, the guy at reception did not even manage to change the channel on one of the TV's to the USPGA golf that I wanted to watch and the croupiers insisted on being tipped at particular intervals of the blackjack game!!

As has been stated drinks are very expensive, they took an eternity to open an adequate number of blackjack tables and they have some quirky blackjack rules that seemed to favour the house (split 11's on dealer Ace and if dealer gets blackjack you lose both bets??).

If you are desperate for a punt it barely suffices but only if you must. For Australians this is barely on par with the likes of Casino Canberra or Launceston.

Nightly Texas Holdem tournaments - good. Entrance fee - bad.
