For once, it's the tourists who get it right – locals almost never experience Copenhagen in this way, and they're missing out on a treat, experiencing the old city centre from a different perspective and seeing almost all the downtown attractions from the water. Canal Tours Copenhagen offer four different tours of the city, ranging from 60-75 minutes in duration, both with or without a guide. They leave from Gammel Strand and Nyhavn, with longer ones taking you as far as the Little Mermaid and out into the Oeresund Channel to the tiny fortress island of Trekroner. On Sunday and Thursday evenings during summer months there's even a 90-minute jazz cruise, with live music aboard the boat.Armed with a strong fleet of 16 comfortable boats, six of which are heated and covered, the Canal Tours takes you through a guided journey along the city s harbor and canal. At least one of the multilingual staff members is always onboard, enlightening guests on the picturesque surroundings. Choose from the various tours available. And for something unusual, go for the Dinner Cruise, where you can enjoy a delectable meal as you cruise along the waters. And if you have charted your own itinerary, then just go ahead and rent one of our boats.

The grand canal cruise is a lovely introduction to the main harbour side locations in Copenhagen. Our guide was very talented commenting in three different languages and still keeping everyone entertained and having time to answer questions. The trip takes just over an hour and takes in most of the main areas such as the opera house, the library, the... More

There is nothing more relaxing than floating down a waterway looking at interesting sites and being told very clearly about the history and the area. Our guide was wonderful, She looked so young, translated 3 languages on our trip, and under the very wide bridge she sang to us. The acoustics were so good and so was her sweet voice,

We were looking forward to spending time on a boat looking around the canals in Copenhagen but unfortunately first we had a broken microphone, which they did change quite quickly but for the first 10mins you couldn't hear what the guide said. Then 30 minutes into our tour the boat broke down! We had to wait for this to be... More

Really enjoyed the one hour canal tour through the city of Copenhagen. The views were beautiful and I appreciated the guides many stories (she would tell each story in several languages based on who was on board). This tour was definitely worth the time.

I ended up doing a canal tour in the pouring rain during my trip. They gave everyone a poncho which helped out a lot during the day too. The tour was very detailed and the guide was rather friendly and answered questions from others on the boat. It also gave another view of the Little Mermaid. The tour took us... More

Got a 48 hr hop on/off ticket - it's a great way to spend 90 mins and see the sights. Boats are every 45 mins, we're quiet vs other boats on the canal. Could have done with a little more audio of sights but was good nonetheless.

If you visit Copenhagen, I highly recommend you to take a boat tour along the canals. It takes about an hour, and you will see all main attractions in the city, incredible views and beautiful bridges and houses. You will hear the story of the city given by the guide in several languages. We enjoyed a lot!
