I purchased an Arnie Jacobsen watch at Illums Bolighus in Copenhagen September 2, 2016. It turned out to have a defective movement (determined by a local watchmaker), and Illums Bolighus has IGNORED numerous emails about this. BUYER BEWARE of this lovely-appearing store!

My first visit to Copenhagen was sixteen years ago and it was also my first visit to Illums Bolighus. Although I have a wide range of tastes in decorating style, this store makes you want to go Danish Modern. The variety of in the clean lines of the housewares and decor are head spinning. It is hard to leave he... More

As a tourist visiting Copenhagen for the first time, I enjoyed coming into this large shop. It features interesting dishware, knickknacks, some clothing, housewares, etc. It reminded me of Tokyu Hands in Tokyo.

This was not on my "tripadvisor visit-list" but the grey weather forced my wife and me to take shelter in this centrally located building. What good fortune. If you have lived in the UK, think of Heal's plus John Lewis plus Liberty, housing Danish designs (big and small) as well as leading international brands, in a welcoming and non-pretentious way.... If you are British and like wandering round Heal's or the home interiors departments of the big department stores, you will be in heaven here, especially if you are a fan of Scandinavian design and clean lines that is...which I am. Very pricey, possibly because of the exchange rate, but just gorgeous. I could have spent hours in here, as... More

This is not your everyday store!. Never have I been to a store that amazes me with its extensive and impressive range, boutique products. A place to visit when the new home needs some special pieces, trust me. Even the outdoor fireplace is a mile of style! . I promised my other half I will be back again.

This big warehouse or department store is one of the best I have been to. It's actually so big that it took a few hours to see everything. I love the fashion labels and the food department.

Illums Bolighus is located on Amagertov square , halfway through Stroeget, the famous pedestrian street. It is a place recommended to shop or visit if you're interested in Scandinavian design. Ground floor is mainly tourist souvenirs , like Christmas things all year and other items one can carry back home in your luggage. The higher levels are mainly home ,... More
