This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.

I enjoy visiting craft shops when I visit a city, much more than visiting museums about crafts. Sommerfuglen was wonderful, with a fine collection of fibers, kits and books. I purchased linen thread, two kits, and several books. The people there were fun and enthusiastic. I made two visits while we in Copenhagen and will definitely visit again if we return. Visit was in July 2014.

Large yarn store with some local products. My wife was very impressed and found much to purchase. Plenty of helpers to field questions. Would be nice if they had a couple chairs for the loyal husbands who accompany their wife here

in this shop embroidery and knitting affinados really can find what they need. The staff is extremely helpful. I had a question about a 40 year old embroidery kit from The Danish Handcraft Guild, After some detective work it was found. Thanks :-)

I loved this beautiful knitting wool shop in central Copenhagen. The s shop is easy to get to, close to the centre, and well worth a visit for knitters, crocheters and needlepoint lovers. A wide variety of yarns featuring well known brands and a selection of hipster hand-dyed yarns. The shop also stocks a good selection of Danish yarns! The perfect souvenir. Also buttons and a great selection of patterns, magazines and books. Basically everything a knitter could hope for in a local yarn shop. Expensive, but very high quality. A treasure!

With both a consistency and an evolving product choice, this is my very first stop every time I'm in Copenhagen. The staff are incredibly helpful - and if you're looking for Danish yarn as a tourist, you can find no better place! Check out their extensive selection of Isager - and if you're a Brooklyn Tweed fan, they carry loads!!

Had a lovely time in the gorgeous knitting store. The people working there were super friendly and were very helpful. Everyone spoke english perfectly too. Will absolutely go back there!

I went to this shop during a short visit to Copenhagen. They have a very large selection of yarns and knitting and crochet patterns (also in English). The staff is very friendly and helpfull.
