As most bars in any European city you tend to veer towards the more cellar bars or oldy worldy bars and Charlie Scott's is no exception! We went in one afternoon for a pit stop and was greeted by a very friendly Scot (who happens to be the owner). We got chatting as people do and he mentioned a live... More

This is a nice bar with good music and nicely decorated. It is very close to the main square and just a short walk from the shopping street. The pint of beer is reasonably priced for Copenhagen.

Super bar run by a very friendly Scotsman. Prices are very reasonable and the bar hosts jazz musicians each week. Unfortunately we were not in Copenhagen long enough to hear any music played here, but judging by the wonderful black and white photos which adorn the walls (reminded us of being in Ronnie Scott's bar in London), the place obviously... Really friendly little bar with (what else) an excellent soundtrack of jazz music. Very friendly staff and landlord. Only downside: the live jazz only happens once a week, early evening on Tuesdays. Surely jazz was invented to be played at night and at the weekends? Highly recommended.

This is one of the best pub's in Copenhagen to enjoy live jazz music while sipping iced cold CARLSBERG beer in a superb environment. We payed this pub a visit 3 times on our recent trip to Copenhagen and each time the atmosphere was just superb. The jazz nights were exciting, with everyone having a great time. We stayed on... Great little bar with fantastic bar staff and atmosphere. Often has jazz music playing. Ran by a Scotsman and located right in the centre of Copenhagen, this bar has a great mixture of clientele which gives the place real character. Look to drink here every time I'm in CPH. Just avoid the Underburg - death in a glass!!!

A great little jazz bar owned by a Scotsman in the heart of Copenhagen. Delighted to find many young people who actually know how to and enjoy dancing to jazz and big band music

Every Tuesday, there is a jazz band playing here from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. It is very small and intimate; you can end up sitting right next to the band. The drinks are a bit overprices; but, so is everything in the capital of Denmark.

Neighborhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
