Together with 3 other friends, we planned a 2-days stay in Copenhagen with the food tour arranged on 28 Feb morning. We were warmly hosted by Katrine and had the very privilege of a "private tour" because we were the only 4 on this tour.

Really love how the itinerary was designed, with foods sampling, nicely spaced walks coupled with explorations of the city through its food & history. Exceedingly good was Katrine's extensive knowledge on Danish cuisine & culture that went beyond food.

Katrine certainly left me with the best guide/host experience after having traveled so many countries from east to west, personable & relatable in many ways! We truly saw Copenhagen culture through her eyes. Thank you Kat!

Maria was a fantastic tour guide through Copenhagen! It was ~4 hours and ~3 miles of walking. The food was wonderful and there was more than enough (come hungry!) and I especially enjoyed Maria's talks about the city and history in between food stops. Highly recommend!

My partnered I decided to book this tour for our last day in Copenhagen to use up the majority of the day before our flight in the evening. With some trepidation we arrived ready for the tour, unsure what to expect... Some small group tours are overpowering in terms of both the interactions with the group and the guide, not so here!

The guide (Maria) was extremely knowledgable about the food at each of the stops on the tour and also about Copenhagen itself... She made the whole experience easy and entertaining, even on the midst of a sleety rain that persisted throughout the day (still that's December for you!).

In terms of value for money - if you were to try to experience the same amount of food and drinks that you receive as part of the tour you would certainly spend more than the price of the ticket. We were surprised when we arrived for the Smorgasbord that you got a plate full each (with a homemade shot thrown in for good measure). That on top of the sweets and the cheese certainly made for a filling morning / afternoon!

My only regret is that we didn't do this tour earlier on during our stay - we certainly would have dropped into a couple of the stops again if we had known about them before.

In summary - excellent guide, excellent value for money, delicious food and a couple of cheeky beers... All in all, a perfect way to spend a few hours in Copenhagen!

My wife and I had the most amazing food tour of Copenhagen. Our guide, Maria, combined interesting food and historical information to make this a most memorable experience. We began the tour at the Food Hall where we sampled Danish cheeses and candies along with a small shot of aquavit. We visited the Botanical Gardens where we sampled a special apple wine and then onto a sandwich shop for a delicious modern take on open faced sandwiches. Our next stop was a micro brewery and then we were on to a small stand for some wonderful organic hotdogs. All along the way Maria pointed out the culinary and historic highlights of Copenhagen. We cannot recommend Maria and her tour highly enough. It has been the highlight of our trip so far.

The market you meet in is very cool. The food looks so fresh and i just wanted to spend the whole tour there ( I ended up returning a few days later to sample more things ) The walk through the botanical gardens was a little random and didn't really fit in with the rest of the food theme. The organic hot dog was a little silly. I would have liked a little bit more depth. For anyone spending more than a few days in Copenhagen, this is probably not good value, but if you are only spending a day in copenhagen, it's not a bad tour to walk around the city, if not a little expensive for what you get.

if you are looking for a hot dog and a bottle of mineral water for 275 DKK - this is the place for you. Our two hours "food" tour mainly promoted five food stores. Our guide hardly mentioned a word about danish cuisine, but had a lot to say about her favourite subject: free-alcohol-in-danish-history. Did you know that Nils Bohr, Noble winner chemist, got a free beer tap from Carlsberg? At his own home??
If you wish to learn more about danish and nordic cuisine you'd better stroll in the open food market (near norreport metro station), try some Smorrebrod, etc.

We booked 4-hour Copenhagen Food Tour well ahead and were not disappointed with the tour - it met all our expectations and we got to know much more about Copenhagen and Danes, with short glimpse through Danish cuisine history, nowadays, and were introduced to the tendencies where the Danish cuisine is heading for. Variety of food-stops was well chosen and the tour included also a surprise apple wine tasting at the Botanical Gardens, local beer tasting at brewery, which seemed to be also largely cherished by locals, and of course the tasting of famous Danish Open Faced Sandwiches - yummy! The tour included quite a nice stroll through the centre part of Copenhagen and was well balanced by combining short sightseeing with culinary adventures - strongly recommend!

Our guide Marianne (sp?), being a chef by trade, was charming and well informed, both about food and the city. Fun way to explore for us; two couples on our first time here. Nice mix of food, we just loved walking the city and visiting with our guide.

Once again not disappointed on a city food tour. I was on my own & 2 other ladies in our group with our tour guide. It was a wonderful walk through several areas of Copenhagen - included a short stroll through the botanical gardens and tasted a wide variety of foods. Many stops were sample sizes and several stops were meal size. It was a great way to taste so many local type foods & learn about the city. The starting point was in beautiful market & many good items for gifts to take home as we ended up at the starting point. Highly recommend this tour

We've started taking these Trip Advisor top rated Food Tours in the cities we visit. We try to do them as close to our arrival date as possible because not only are they a great way to sample the local food, but the guides know the history of the city and it serves as a great introduction. We've done a few now, and haven't been disappointed. The guide for our October 7th tour was Rosemary. She was so knowledgeable and pleasant! We had a GREAT time. It was easy to find our meeting spot at Torvehallern, and we got started right on time. We went through the lovely Copenhagen Botanical Gardens, stopping at a quaint little shop and also got a brief lesson about the gardens. We proceeded to Aaman's for an incredible sampler plate of 4 different types of Smørrebrød. Then onto a local micro brewery, where we were able to sample 4 beers. Upon our return to Torvehallerne, we were treated to a lovely tour of the market; the local food/farmers market. We stopped at a couple of places to sample food, chai tea, a couple of akvavits and some chocolate! I would have been satisfied had the tour stopped there, but we had one more treat in store! An ORGANIC sausage; a full sized one with a homemade bun. We were stuffed!! A positive for us, but maybe not for some: be prepared to walk. I think my Fitbit registered about 2 miles, but note it is stretched out over the 4 hours. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
