Amazing carvings, mosaics and paintings in this working city hall. This is a beautiful space. A little prior study would help understand all the symbolic artwork in is building.

Walked to this park and it was so so lovely . People are so nice and happy. Really enjoyed this for an afternoon. The park is very clean. Very nice to explore and see the small botanical garden

My girlfriend and I continued our trip here. The plaza is a nice way to enter the city. The main thing is the breathtaking town hall next to it. In addition, the Hard Rock Cafe is right there to the left.

initially I wanted to give it 5 stars but after three more trips to Copenhagen and some construction in the square plus seeing a guy getting beaten in it in one evening I decided to downgrade it to three. It is still a place where people meet and have fun. And i hope I will be able to give it... More

Very large square in front of City Hall in the center of Copenhagen. Lots of activities going on in the square and just across the street from Tivoli Gardens.

Town Hall Square is the city's great popular place where people move around the clock. The square is inspired by the shape of a seashell, and adjacent to the impressive old Copenhagen City Hall Building. The town square is the largest square in Copenhagen with a capacity of 50.000 people or more. It was certainly a gathering spot the day... More

The central square in Copenhagen is large and popular venue for various events throughout the year. The main building is, of course, the City Hall, but there are so many nice buildings, sculptures and other sights around the square that you can spend the whole afternoon here enjoying the views.

This square is dominated by the City Hall on one side and an enormous construction site on the other side. The square itself seems to be rather tatty and run down, and not worth the effort of exploring. As with everywhere else in Copenhagen, you have to dodge the cyclists. They are a law unto themselves and quite aggressive.

The City Hall and the surrounding old buildings have a distinctive architecture, but the square itself is just average. A lot of garbage all around the place, a massive construction site just in front of it, and there`s just one statue in a corner: The Dragon Fountain, depicting a bull and a dragon in combat (?!)

The main good thing about Radhuspladsen is that it is Copenhagen's center and after seeng the beautiful buildings and the fountain, you are close to so many other attractions. Stroget-filled with stores is near, also Tivoli and many other. The only bad thing is the fact that it is always crowded (besides in the morning)

Neighborhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
