The area
Address
Neighborhood: Frederiksberg
Located between Noerrebro and Vesterbro you’ll find Frederiksberg, which is actually a municipality in itself but completely surrounded by Copenhagen. Here there are several fine theaters, from the experimental to the great Det Ny Teater (The New Theater) which specializes in transcribing the great London and New York musicals into Danish, and has done so for several years with huge success. In Frederiksberg you’ll find Denmark’s most beautiful (and expensive) city villas. These 4-5 square miles form the Beverly Hills of Copenhagen. Here you’ll also find Frederiksberg Have (Garden) which sports huge outdoor concerts, from classical to electronic dance music. To top it off, dining options range from cozy family restaurants to some of the area’s most trendy cafés.

I have never seen such a combination of natural beauty and human handmade aesthetic approach. The place was marvelous. One forgets to breathe when sees wild geese grazing in couple of meters away from visitors. You could really feel the touch of God’s hand there.

This garden is beautiful, with big trees, flowers, lakes and animals. It is just next to Copenhagen Zoo, and you can see the elephants right from the garden. This park is great for everyone, it has playground, picnic tables, benches, and great space to play with family or friends, run, and exercise.

If you happen to be in Frederiksberg, this is a great place for a walk or stroll. Bonus are the elephants in the adjacent zoo which you can see (for free) from the park. There are nice lawns for picnics and some places with canals which you can traverse by boat. Overall very peaceful.

Today was clear and sunny, about 43°F. It was a Sunday and there were lots of families, couples, and solo walkers alike having an amazing time visiting with one another. There is paved pathways and plenty of maps around. There are lots of markings and where you are at. There are many things under construction due to the season. Not a lot of greenery or flowers at this time but still amazing place to visit.

Gorgeous park - quite big with a lot of different parts to see. Cool views of the city and the park from the castle. In the summer, lots of locals hanging out on the lawns. Definitely head over for a walk - pretty close to the Carlsberg brewery and

The Frederiksberg Garden is laid out as a garden in the romantic style. Here one can find a view of the Frederiksberg Palace, the Chinese Pavilion from 1799, Apis Temple from 1802, Spring Grotto, Wish Mound and the Swiss House from 1801. Frederiksberg Gardens is a journey worth all year round. For centuries, the Frederiksberg Gardens has been a favourite spot for many people in Copenhagen. People bring their picnic baskets for lunch. In summer, The Frederiksberg Garden host several cultural events.

I biked over to the park a couple of days ago. It was a hot, sunny day and many people were sunbathing and picnicking. The garden was well tended and quite pretty with the river flowing through it. The elephants were not out. The yellow castle was nice but cannot be visited. But after spending two weeks in and around Copenhagen, I can say that the park is over-rated as the number three attraction in the city according to Trip Advisor. There are many other places to go to that are uniquely Copenhagen. Don't miss Christiansborg Palace, Frederiksborg, Kronborg, the Design Museum, Amelienborg, a canal. the Old Town and so on. Add the park only if you have time.

These gardens are really lovely. We strolled up to see the castle at the top of the hill and have a great view of the city skyline. There were old illustrations to point out the main buildings, many were still in view despite other building having been built since.
We walked around the lakes and saw the Chinese pavilion but the trees did obscure the building, the bridge is very pretty. There is no access across to the island which was a shame.
There were a lot of locals within the park taking in the sunshine so it's well used.
We sat and watched a heron trying to catch fish for quite some time.
All in all it was several hours spend winding down and relaxing. We were lucky we had the time to spend here

The castle and the gardens which surrounds it is beautiful. In a sunny weather you can spend your whole day here, relaxing. Entrance to the gardens are free of charge.

I visited the park recently during a trip to Copenhagen. The park was lovely even if the weather was bitterly cold. Very quiet considering it's in the city.
There's a zoo, coffee shop and public toilets all within the park.
There are also some lovely coffee shops just outside the park for after your walk.
