This huge park makes you feel in wonderland! Every step you take you can admire canals and lakes, different species of tree and birds that fly and swim arund freely. There's an artificial waterfall too, a very romantic corner of the park. Walking around you'll find a lot of people joggin' and playing, and a super idea: The Pacifiers Tree,... More

a beautifully kept park in the middle of a residential district with homes and businesses ringing the park borders. all of the parks we've visited in Copenhagen are well maintained. this one borders the Copenhagen zoo, specifically the elephant area, so that's a nice treat as you stroll around the grounds. when in the area, be sure to take a... If you're looking for a lovely green space to sit and contemplate or wander around to stretch the legs, this is lovely. We didn't discover any flower gardens, but it's a nice quiet place.

We visited this park for a relaxed technomusic festival: Stella polaris. Whole families enjoy the music and weather while having a picknick (festival is free and you can bring your own food and drinks) This park is a beautiful, huge green area in frederiksberg. It's easy to reach by metro (15 minute walk from frederiksberg metrostop or fasanvej metro stop.

Lovely green area for escaping the city rush. People go here to sunbathe, have a picnic, have a walk or a run, for a first date, to read a book, to take a tour at the river with the little boats or see the elephants! Yes you can go and see the elephants of the Copenhagen zoo free of charge... More

I loved visiting this castle and the beautiful gardens. The only problem was that the tour guide was not that well educated on the castle and so I felt like it was a waste of time to do the tour. Also, we were so excited to see the Carl Bloch paintings and they were quite an afterthought of the tour... More

A nice park just next to the zoo. It has a large lake with lots of bridges going over. There's also a small waterfall! Good to wander around, relax in, or take in nature.

The park is fantastic and you can feel the history of old times when the Royal family walked around with the Danish court. Actually one of the kings had lions in the park. No lions today but from the park there is a chance to see the elephants at the neighbours - Copenhagen Zoo. You can hire a boat and... More

Staying in Frederiksberg

Neighborhood Profile
Frederiksberg
Located between Noerrebro and Vesterbro you’ll find Frederiksberg, which is actually a municipality in itself but completely surrounded by Copenhagen. Here there are several fine theaters, from the experimental to the great Det Ny Teater (The New Theater) which specializes in transcribing the great London and New York musicals into Danish, and has done so for several years with huge success. In Frederiksberg you’ll find Denmark’s most beautiful (and expensive) city villas. These 4-5 square miles form the Beverly Hills of Copenhagen. Here you’ll also find Frederiksberg Have (Garden) which sports huge outdoor concerts, from classical to electronic dance music. To top it off, dining options range from cozy family restaurants to some of the area’s most trendy cafés.
