Embark on a royal tour of Scandinavian castles, a cathedral, and the Viking Ship Museum without planning transport or an itinerary. Leave everything to you your guide, allowing you to travel in comfort across the pretty Danish countryside. Ideal for visitors interested in Danish history, this tour provides a great overview of the country’s past from the Viking era through the Renaissance.

Beautiful church with an easy set up. Lovely statues of the 12 apostles. I haven’t seen them like this anywhere else. Very peaceful. Definitely a must see.

The interior is plain in typical Lutheran style, but I absolutely loved the beautiful statues of the apostles! They are all by Bertel Thorvaldsen, including the risen Christ, "Christus" (Christus Consolator), which was adopted by the LDS (Mormon) Church in the 1950s. It is also an interesting area, with the Reformation Memorial and the University of Copenhagen just outside the door. I came here as part of a self-guided walk in Rick Steves 'Scandinavian & Northern European Cruise Ports Guidebook,' highly recommended! (I visited Copenhagen for the first time in August 2019 after a Baltic cruise.)

Stumbled by this, on a rainy morning. There was an organ recital upon arriving - that we could hear throughout the lobby. When it was over, we could walk through. It's very simply decorated, but very nice!

This church interior is extremely simple, but with its few sculptures it makes a mighty impression and atmosphere on all visitors. Torvaldsen's Christ sculpture is the main attraction. When we visited we also heard a great organ concert, adding a lot to the visit.

A very striking sculpture of Christ with his 12 disciples on either side of the church. Another lovely Church to sit and take in the atmosphere and reminisce.
