Excellent place to see Danish pre-war and post-war modern art in spacious and light rooms. The collections are large so I recommend focusing, for example one century for one visit.

Emphasis is Danish and Nordic art, However, even art from the rest of Europe and some heavy masters. For my part, I wish for more works from Skagen period. The weakest point was the modern art.Fully stocked shop with art literature.

We visited on a cold and rainy December day and loved it. We learned so much about Danish art and surrealism among other things. Absolutely huge, easy to get lost but really good. Great shop as well.

Let me preface this by saying I am not an artist, nor a lover of art. I like things that I like, and unfortunately there was little of that in there. It was a very nice building, and well-laid out. There was actual art (you...More

We spent a lovely day at this massive museum. It has a wonderful collection of Danish art and masterpieces from around the world. It's built around a 19th century building that has been renovated and connected by glass building to a new modern wing. There's...More
