Very unusual exterior for Copenhagen which makes it stand out more. We only by chance stumbled across here. Definitely worth looking at if you are near.

It was turned into a Naval church which explains the replica of Niels Juel's ship, Christianus Quintushanging, hanging from the ceiling over the center aisle.... A lot of history in this church including the marriage of current queen of Denmark... but it did not move...More

This church was pointed out on our harbor cruise as where the Queen was married in the 60’s. We returned to find a beautiful interior where the woodwork and carving are what stands out. The alter is beautiful as is the organ at the other...More

The highlight of this Church is the woodwork. There are two main pieces, the Pulpit and the Altarpiece, both of which are extraordinary pieces of carving. The Altarpiece is ambitious in both size and ambition, and the Pulpit contains a lot of detail. Elsewhere, there...More

Lovely church with a beautiful carved wooden alter piece. Since it’s en route to/from many places in the City, add it to your itinerary for a stop: well worth seeking out!

Not far from the Christianborg Palace is this lovely little Church that is dedicated to the Danish navy. The Dutch Renaissance style whitewashed interior and the intricate woodwork are very pleasing as is the long attached chapel that runs alongside the canal. A peaceful spot...More

It started by seeking shelter in a freak rain squall and ended with a visit in one of the most unique churches we've toured in Copenhagen. All churches we toured in Finland had the ship hanging from the ceiling but this is the only one...More

Fortunately I learned of this church from a YouTube video. We exited our canal cruise and the church was a very welcome refuge from the rain. The carved pulpit is spectacular. The ship hung from the ceiling lovely. We spent more than a very peaceful...More

I shall be there for Easter 2017 this coming weekend. I return each time to this, the church my mother was baptised in, christened in, married in and ultimately, in dark and cold December of 2007, had her small funeral in. Though having lived in...More

This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its
blend of charming old buildings and bold new
architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well
as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner
city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which
consists of three buildings, two of which are new and
situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and

Sounds like a good itinerary with many interesting sights. It is possible - maybe a bit tight. I would personally use half a day in Tivoli, which only leaves little time for the rest of the sights on day 3. Forget Hovedbanegårdens Shoppingcenter, I wouldn't even call it a shopping center. It is located inside the central station and consists of a few shops and fast food restaurants. If short on time Holmens Kirke can also be skipped, nothing special in my opinion. I don't know when you...More
