Meh I say. If you’re running out of time, I’d recommend getting another cinnamon roll instead. It’s just a little statue in the harbor—not even the original statue.

Can’t visit Copenhagen without viewing this statue. They come by the bus loads, car loads and walk there and from every direction. Tons of people view this statue daily. Photo opportunities are in abundance. It has become the national monument of Denmark. Worth a visit.

Only a small statue in the water, but a must visit sight in Copenhagen, probably the main place to visit. Its surprising how many people from all over the world go to see it.

The story about the little mermaid is certainly more impressive than the ‘monument’ itself. Listening to the surprise of visitors is as big a part of the experience ;-) Not quite as tiny as Manneken Pis in Brussels, but still smaller than most tourists expect....More

It's not big, but it is surrounded by big crowds. Can't quite figure out why, but when in Copenhagen you can't not go there. A pleasant walk to get there.
