This unassuming collection is one of Copenhagen's "Park Museums". It lies in a lovely green setting near the center of town. The collection traces the development of Danish painting through the 19th and very early 20th century, including the most famous works of the Skagen...More

I had no advance warning that I was to see a magnificent collection from an early 20th century magnate who had a great eye for the Golden Age of Danish Art. The museum is intimate, works are well-displayed and, at least when we went there,...More

Small but charming museum that specialises in the 'golden' age of Danish painting ... although my Copenhagener companion said much of it was romantic fantasizing. Even so it is nice to wander around and there are also realistic paintings of fishermen in the seaside vollage...More

While in Denmark why not see Danish art. Recommend using the free audio tour ... gives great background to these lovely works of art. The Kroyer paintings were a highlight.
