Address
Neighborhood: Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.

    Eye catching Dragon spire
CPH stock exchange is more or less an average Scandinavian brick edifice, but what stands out is the roof with its spire. The spire is a twisted Dragons tail with its claws embracing the Dome - very beautiful and unusual. I think you cannot visit it as it's currently under renovation, but do pass by to see it as it's in the vicinity of Christianborg Palace in downtown CPH.

    Massive building with twisted dragon
This is a massive building close to the Nyhavn area. It is visible from many areas in the city, at least it's spiral spike with the twisted dragon. A very impressive piece of architecture and colour. It is one of Copenhagen's finest structures.

    Happy people country
I was traveling via Copenhagen to Malmö and used opportunity to spend a day in sightseeing CPH. Many historical sites in the city excellently blended into modern architecture. All in walking distance, if you want. Alternatively, plenty bicycles to rent - i can recommend. Cycle pathways are all over, I enjoyed.

Worth passing by it. The architecture is quite stunning. With the striking roof design. There is a lot of work going on, so much of the building is covered in scaffolding. But good, it's important that it is kept preserved for the future.

We viewed the Old Stock Exchange (Børsen) 17th-century building both from ground level and from a cruise boat we took. The former stock exchange building Børsen is on the island of Slotsholmen in Copenhagen, located next to Christiansborg Palace, the Danish Parliament. The main spiral tower is spectacular.

During my trips to Copenhagen I have noticed this beautiful building built in 17th century famous for its Dragon Spire. One cold November evening on my third or forth visit to the city I could observe the enormous chandeliers and huge paintings on the walls through the windows. It looked so nice and palace-like that I decided to pay a visit.

Unfortunately the notice on the entrance door told that the building was private and it was not possible to get in. I asked a friend who lived in Copenhagen and was told that there are two ways to get in: either you receive an invitation to some reception held in the building or you visit the Stock Exchange during the Copenhagen Culture night which is held every year in October. The latter alternative seemed more approachable, so I checked the event’s website and booked my tickets to the city.

To get in one should buy a 90 DKK ticket for the Culture night (and seize the opportunity to see other places). Inside the building you a guide will tell you a lot of interesting (as I might guess) things, but unfortunately only in Danish. Then you’ll see a wooden reception hall (really impressive) and some other rooms with paintings, beautiful furniture, mosaics etc. The building can be rented and the next day there would have been a wedding (I was told by personnel). Actually, I was pleased by this visit and it was really worth it!

So if you are in Copenhagen in early October, check with the Culture night event and visit the Stock Exchange.

Interesting and a good stroll around. But don't need to go out of your way to visit. Only if you have time to spare.Google the info about its famous spire - but we still can't find out any detail on what the crocodiles, dragon represent? We understand about why they've used Pluto's face and what it represents - but still baffled about the other features.

This building is very impressive looks like it has popped up from a Harry Potter movie. The dragon tails on top are very unique. A must see. Close to the Christianborg Palace.
