This museum had a wonderful collection of Impressionist art as well as Danish art, sculpture, Egyptian artifacts and a beautiful winter garden. It is free on Sundays which was great. However, it was a heat wave when I was there and it was beyond hot inside (no AC)except for the Impressionist section. I was so relieved I stayed in those... More

The chicken was freshly cooked and the sauce and parmesan were perfect, also very good value. The tables look into the Winter Garden, a Victorian atrium with palm trees. The art and classical sculptures in the Glyptotek are very good too.

This is a very attractive museum with a good collection well displayed., My rating is colored a bit by the fact that the main floor sculpture collection was not air conditioned and we were there on a sweltering hot day. We were debating leaving when we discovered that the paintings and sculptured busts were in fact in air conditioning. The... More

Nothing to dislike, very friendly environment, helpful and nice staff, one of the most beautiful winter gardens we have ever seen, and a great etruscan collection, a small but interesting Gauguin collection and a wonderful terrace!

What i remember seeing in art history books, they have an incredible collection of French master paintings - Claude Monet, Toulouse LeTrec, Vincent VanGogh, etc. The main focus of the gallery is the sculptures from Roman and Egytptian period.

Peaceful setting and an abundance of treasures. Need a few hours if you want to see it all. Heaven for the archaeology buff.

I have been here twice and it is always a nice visit. There are a lot of different sculptures and other things from Roma, Egypt, etc. It is not huge, you can visit it in 2-3 hours and it is free on Sundays!

Liked everything from the inner garden to the Egyptian Collection. Also visited the conservators room, as a professional (researcher). Enjoyed also excellent catered cocktail party.

If you go to Copenhagen, then take some time to visit Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek. It has a very nice area with palms and trees inside the building, and the ambience is fantastic walking around looking at alle the the different sculptures and art. I would definitely recommed this.
