Best Danish art exhibition after Louisiana

Great location, interesting collection and exhibitions. Especially liked the one from Nikki de St. Phalle.

We spent one hour in the museum, together with few visitors on a windy sunday afternoon. Food in the restaurant was good, prices reasonable. The nearby beach is attractive and has a life guard on duty (it was too cold for swimming on that day). The way out and back to Copenhagen took quite a while, as the train did... More

Even the museum is a little bit far, the visit worth it. Gerda Wegner and other exhibitions are more then fine!!!

This museum is a bit far from Copenhagen but still very much accessible by public transit. The exhibitions were fantastic. I also discovered some artists less known in North America (at least by the casual modern art lover).

Only a 30 min trainride outside Copenhagen. It's worth the trip! A must-see is the piece "Gleaming Lights of the Soul" by Yayoi Kusama.

It was my 2nd time in this amazing museum, and it only got better! Current exhibitions of Gerda Wegener and Niki de Saint Phalle were extraordinary. I felt so lucky to have seen them both under one roof. These artists were wonderful creators and their works uplift the whole museum. I also loved the gift/book shop there and the café,... More

Arrival at Ishøj there you take a bus No.128 going to Arken museum and it takes only 5minutes. From the train station you can also walk to... More

Not worth going as main destination out of the city. Overpriced, poor selection of exhibitions. If you plan to visit nearby area ok to see but dont expect much.

Embedded as an Island you find the great museum close to the sea. The artwork is extraordenary. Wegener paintings and Daniel Wirst at ist best. The Restaurant is a special one. great view and good food.
