About
Kulturtaarnet (The Culture Tower) is a cultural institution in the harbour of Copenhagen. The bridge tower is open to the public all year round with cafe, exhibitions, talks, radiocinemas, pop up-restaurants and concerts. Come by for a drink and enjoy the beautiful view. The bridge Knippelsbro was built in 1937 and was opened up to the public in June 2017.

This beautiful building offers fantastic views of the waterways and streets below.
We had the place to ourselves and sat with a coffee (available from the cafe) taking everything in - I can't understand why this place was not rammed with people, but that was to our advantage!!

An exciting experience to sit in one of the city's iconic towers and eat a delicious menu with a well-coordinated wine and alcohol-free menu served by skilled and welcoming waiters. It is very atmospheric to follow the laws of the harbor and the change of light before and after sunset, as well as observe the exciting decoration of the room. Warm recommendations 👌🏼

Its own charm with a bit of space and a super view. The kitchen facilities are probably minimalist - but that doesn't mean the food doesn't have to be so unimaginative and boring. Natural wine - 2 out of 3 were ok, but no more. Gazpacho - a relatively large portion, small squid (tasteless, but not rubbery), very salty anchovies with lemon. Lots of bread - always suspect we have to eat our fill of it. Smoked herring and white fried asparagus - it was ok. Salmon on top of a coarse mashed potato, with pieces of corn and popcorn - appeared somewhat messy. Red wine poached pears will never be my go-to dish and it didn't help with almost melted ice cream. The only super positive was the service, fresh, sweet and service minded young woman. She gets to run up and down many steps in a day.

We arrived at 17:00, the place immediately appeared exciting, clean and neat.
The reception was impeccable, we were quickly shown to a table with a sublime view.
The tables were quite small, but quite ok considering the space.
The wine was predominantly natural wine, apart from a clear hint of an Argentine Rose, the rest was drinkable.
The food appeared boring and the taste was nothing to write home about - considering the facilities, it could well be done better.
The toilet was nice and clean.
The service, on the other hand, was quite impeccable, really outstanding.

On Knippelbro bridge there are two copper coated towers and one has been turned into a cafe with amazing views of the river.
The cafe serves snacks, beer and wine which is good but fairly basic.
The tower and the views are amazing and you can even sit outside at the top of the tower. This is great on a nice sunny day.
Well worth a visit to a place that is largely unknown even to locals.

Dont go there! Its a total waste of an evening. Ordinary food, ordinary wine, uncomfortable wooden bar chairs that will kill your back and pelvis.. extremely expensive though..

Too be avoided. Really bad food and undrinkable wine. Everything was cold. Tomato soup, potato salad with smoked eel. Comprehensive that this place is going on with bad reviews year after year. Unfortunately I didn't check tripadvisor in beforehand 🥺
