Welcome to The Livingroom This is the nick name for The Railroad Pub (JERNBANECAFEEN), as it is so cozy. Here you'll meet guests from all around the world. Everyone is welcome regardless of profession, nationality, sexuality or age. However, we...more
Nice place to go for drinks. The pub is very unique, filled with decorations, pictures and lots of stuff in general. The atmosphere was lovely and we enjoyed our evening there. Tip: avoid if you are sensitive to smoke since the place is smoking friendly.More

It’s odd that reviewers find this place ‘quirky’ and ‘unique’. There are actually quite a few places in Copenhagen where you can grab a beer in exchange for money, and where the interior is purposefully out of place. Moreover, the beer selection is rather meagre...More
In Copenhagen for the first time I popped in here as it was just around the corner from my hotel, literally the first place I saw.
at first sight, stepping through the door, I thought this could be a place I could really love. it's...More
I think if you are in Copenhagen you must visit this pub even if it’s for just one pint. We turned up on a Wednesday night and the music was in full flow. The elderly musicians played their music and the whole place was buzzing....More
Absolute tourist trap
Situated near the station I am sure they suck a lot of tourists in and if you want to get ripped off head to this pub.
I paid 82kr for a half litre of beer. That is 11 Euro, £10 or 14...More

Dear Mr S_Harwood85!
Thanks for your opinion on the price of our absolute premium, high end beers. However, I feel obliged to comment on your judgement. Considering the size of the bar, most guests find the selection of beers impressive. Thus, you have a more...More

Thank you so much for your fine description of your experience. For years so many guests have told me again and again what you have put in writing so precise. It's very dear to me and my staff of talented and warmhearted bartenders....More
An authentic old fashioned Danish pub, like going back in time (when smoking was allowed- it is here because of the small size of the pub), live music (jazz in Danglish), classic beer, and lots of trains and artifacts all around the place, including the...More

Hi Thomas L
What a nice description. We love it! Spot on! Only one additional comment on your music description. It is very diversified, from the very best of jazz to happy swing jazz and Danish folk-sing-along, one evening a month in Danish.
This bar looked very appealing as we headed back to our hotel. The range of local craft beers was good but they only came in one size; large. The biggest problem is that smoking is allowed in the bar and it is unpleasant if you...More
We were in Copenhagen for the recent football match between Denmark and Ireland and thought it might be nice to visit a Danish bar. When we found the bar it looked so promising. The decor and layout was brilliant however we had to leave before...More

Dear MecMul, Sorry to learn of your low rating of Jernbanecafeen / The RailRoad Pub in Copenhagen because of the smoke. Unfortunately, the Danish law is still allowing smoking in small bars. Luckily, we have a very efficient QleanAir machine making fresh air, which makes...More
My Swedish colleague and tour guide for the night suggested that a quick stop here was essential. Typically Danish he explained.
It was lively, there was a quiz going on while we are there. Not really used to smoke in bars these days and wouldn't...More

Hej Chris C

This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and
hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
