Recently went on the day trip to Sweden, the minibus was very new and clean, only 8 on the trip. Our guide, Petra, was excellent, her knowledge was good and she really showed off the two places well. Perhaps she needed a mic in the minibus as sometimes we struggled to hear in the back. We did like the flexibility of an open return ticket for the train. Allowed us to spend more time in Malmo. However we did think the cost of the trip was excessive, would consider doing independently in future.

What a great day! Unfortunately we didn't bring our passports as having been to both Lund & Malmo when our daughter was at university there I was not aware of passport control back to hotel & on our way 15 mins latter. We drove to Lund in our mini bus. Lund is a lovely university town I stayed on campus when our daughter was there. However Malmo I only saw the railway station. What a wonderful historical town I missed & our tour guide was a wealth of knowledge excellent infact sorry I can't remember her name. Return journey was by train over the magnificent bridge. A day to remember thank you.

Lovely to hear you like Lund and Malmö! As you indicate, passport checks Denmark-Sweden were only introduced in 2015, and are said to be temporary. It is however required and thus recommended to always have identification even when crossing other border in Europe that have no controls.

This was NOT worth the money. I'm writing this because I wish there were more reviews highlighting this. If you're in Copenhagen, stay in Copenhagen and do the "Free Walking Tours" instead -- better itineraries and better guides (IMHO).

Lund is a normal college town and all we did was see an old church. Malmo is interesting, but really it's just the Turning Turso and the Little Square, which you could do yourself. Everyone on my tour wanted to head back to Copenhagen right after we got our return tickets.

Also, our guide seems like a nice person, but unfortunately she was really boring and didn't seem to know how to engage the group. It felt like she was really inexperienced as a tour guide and we were getting the bare minimum -- the simple dates and facts. I just expected more especially given how much this tour chargers per person.

If I could turn back time, I would not do this tour or recommend this tour to a friend. Please save your money. It would be much better spent on museums or food in Copenhagen.

Hi, We are very sorry about your experience. We got more negative feedback for the one day you joined the tour than we had ever got before, combined. This time we failed to live up to our own standard. We followed this tour up closely. While we have been successful in creating a fun and popular tour, we turned out be less good at teaching this to our new guide, who did the tour you joined. She has guided plenty of tours before, but for Swedish rather than international guests, and none of us had realised how big difference this was. We have learnt from this mistake. She now does the tour in a different style, and receives positive feedback. This does of course not improve the experience you had, so I do apologise that this happened to you. We were excited for the tour and the chance to see Sweden. Lund was beautiful and the cathedral was spectacular - could have done without the long history of the university. Would have enjoyed walking around and seeing more of the old buildings. Malmo was interesting and the views of the bridge and water were really pretty. Turning Torso was cool to see but I didn't need to spend the afternoon there. In the end - I was happy we got to see another country - but honestly I would not recommend this tour to a friend. I felt like it was really a lot of money. Taking the train back to Copenhagen was so easy - I think maybe one could visit Sweden on their own at much less of an expense. Im sorry - I rarely ever leave negative feedback - but I wish I had known from reading the reviews - because for 3 people this was costly.

The day I did the tour the group of 8 people were in a small van with not alot of room. It also didnt have clear signage on the car to say the tour company. Our guide was nice, but spent more time talking about universities than giving more time inside sites, say the cathedral (15 minutes was not long enough). We really didnt go into any other sites. Lunch was in abit of an obscure location with nothing much to do around it. Food options were good though.

Just note Sweden tends to like the use of credit cards more than cash.

There was also confusion around the return trip back to Copenhagen. It indicated that there was the option to go back by the minivan or train. I had already booked the train
option but a few passengers seemed not aware or informed that they needed to get the train back to central Copenhagen.

I felt this tour was expensive for what they offered.

Dear Bilby, We're sorry to hear you did not enjoy the tour in Sweden. Unfortunately, due to your presence, neither did we. Within the first 20 minutes of joining the tour, you told the guide you would write a bad review if things were not done according to your liking. You put unreasonable demands on the guide, and you would end up demanding a return trip to Copenhagen by private van. This despite your Viator voucher clearly stating that you had purchased a return trip by train. The train is a popular option, allowing for independent time in Sweden and an open return, which the rest of the group had actively chosen. In the end you were given the return trip you had booked. The other guests on this tour told us your behaviour was in the way of their enjoyment of the trip. Your review has been reported to TripAdvisor since blackmail violates the rules of this community.

We had an incredible time today with Stina on our trip to Sweden. Lund and Malmo were very interesting and impressive. This day trip over to Sweden if you’re staying in Copenhagen is an absolute must! Stina is very knowledgeable and one of the best guides we’ve ever had :)

Stina our tour guide elaborated a lot on the sights and gave us a warm welcome from the word go.We spend few hours in Lund and later in Malme where we came back by train to Copenhagen later in the afternoon. We saw the main sights around both cities walking on foot and driving.Visited the central food market in malme where we tried the local falafel..took photos of the Turning torso with its queer architecture and the neighborhood nearby visited St Laurence Cathedral in Lund crossed over and underneath the Oresund Bridge etc. Thanks to her tips and stories about the locations we now will encourage other friends of ours to do the tour!!

We had the pleasure of this day trip to Lund and Malmo starting in Copenhagen. Stina was our guide and provided us with great historical perspective of the Scania region. Travelling across The Bridge between Denmark and Sweden was amazing. Historic Lund was picturesque and a delight as was Malmö.
We had fabulous Swedish meatballs in a local food Hall in Malmö (prices are cheaper for nearly everything in Sweden by the way). I would highly recommend this tour.
