Just turning around the cyclist gives such a different perspective on the sculpture! And the area is nice (pedestrian)!

Statue is located in the main shopping area outside Magasin, by the river. There is some seating around – a great place to eat lunch. Loads of bike parking around.

I pass this statue twice a day, on way to and from work. Every so often I need to stop and study the details. Thanks to many Tripavisor contributors, I now know history of statue, and about the City mayor depicted. Realy worth a trip....More

You will probably come by this statue when walking through down town Aarhus, situated just across the bridge from the department store Magasin. Its a homage to Bernhard Jensen who played an important part in protecting the old houses of Aarhus.

The sculpture is a nice sight when walking around the center, and very representative of the Danish bike culture. PS: Now it's a pokestop too, so plenty of people gather around it.
