Really friendly and helpful staff. Tried Enigma, the hard one. I've tried rooms like these before. That made Enigma perfectly challenging. The theme was well made. Many different great puzzles.

A very good room, also for experienced escape room visiters. We went for a family outing with teesnagers and the youngest being 11. The all had fun but it is a bit crowded for 5 people. Very good puzzles and riddles. We tried the alchymist. Well-decorated! However the story line could have been introduced more enthusiastical
ly and it is very pricey.

We are enthusiasts and have played escape rooms all over the world, so keep that in mind when reading this review. We played the Alchemist and it was a very basic 1. gen. room which has some wear and tear and wasn't impressive in the design department. We did like one puzzle, but hated others. Especially since signposting is very weak in this room. It was one of the most expensive rooms we have ever played and really not worth the money. The GM was especially the one who let the experience down most. He was unenthusiastic and couldn't get us out of there fast enough - no group photo, no chatting, no debrief... just pay and go (it was a slow day with no-one else there). The room didn't have much of a story (or did the GM just not tell us?). I gave it two stars and not one because of the puzzle we liked and the fact that it was recognizable as an escape room (not all "escape experiences" are). Maybe their other rooms/GMs are better since we see that it has good reviews from others.

Went to the Escape Factory as a job related team building event. For a first timer this was truly an exciting experience. One clue led to another in order to solve the mystery in order to get out of the room. A combination of many talents an good teamwork is key to success.

We play many escape rooms all over the world and this one was very enjoyable. At first I was unsure whether we wanted to book or not (since it's not cheap) because of an earlier review about having too many padlocks.

But after playing the room, the padlocks *were* keeping in line with the theme and era of the Enigma room. Having modern gadgets would have taken us out of the immersion. What was more important for us was the quality of the puzzle and game design. The padlock is just a means to keep something locked.

We've also played many 2nd generation games that have failed to wow. Afterall, how many times can you get impressed with a mag-lock release by placing an object at a fixed place? How is solving that no-brainer puzzle exciting?

Stay with your padlocks, Escape Factory! You're doing great!

I was a bit dissappointed by the Enigma room because it was advertised as a 2nd generation escape room, but I found it to be very much a 1st generation room with a very long series of pad locks, which tends to become boring and frustrating. Compared to what I have tried in other countries at a fraction of the price, this was a very basic room. So basically the worst value for money in my admittedly short escape room experience. Still, there were cute details, and it is the first escape room I have entered that allowed us to take photos inside.

If you like to solve riddles, search for logic connections and hidden clues, then Escape Factory is a must visit. You can go as a family or group of friends and try to 'beat' the room or as 2 teams and compete against the room and against each other. Time will fly like never before. Absolutely worth a visit.
