Welcome to ARoS Aarhus Art Museum - one of Europe's largest art museums situated in the heart of Aarhus, and the only one with a rainbow on top, Your rainbow panorama.

ARoS is a house of art where our guests can be pleased, enlightened and challenged. The architecture is of international class. The same is the art. And both offer experiences of high carat: from light to thrill, from attitude to entertainment, from joy to challenge.

I am told it's good! If only I understood!

Gasps and wonderment from the others in my party but I am left perplexed and wonder if it's just a joke. Am I too old and an art Philistine? Well who knows. There was an Airstream... read more

Gasps and wonderment from the others in my party but I am left perplexed and wonder if it's just a joke. Am I too old and an art Philistine? Well who knows. There was an Airstream caravan which I would loved to have taken to the south of France. A high performance sports car that had been vandalised, bottles and... More

Family friendly art musuem with a mix of the new and the old. Contemporary art, permanent exhibition, and changing exhibitions including digital art pieces make ARoS a place to visit again and again. Also offers acivities for kids. Boy and Your Rainbow Panorama are the most characteristic features of the museum.

Fantastic art space in Aarhus. The circular rainbow walk about is stunning but the collections were amazing. I didn't know that Danish painting was so rich and BOY is remarkable. The food in the cafe, however, was disgusting and expensive with very little choice.

Personally I think this place (like most modern art museums) is mostly empty space. The only reason you need to spend longer than 30 minutes in there is just because of all the stairs and trying to find your way around. I'd avoid it unless you are crazy about modern art, even then I would only say its worth a... More

Famous for it's "rainbow-walk", the museum peaks above Aarhus' skyline. The museum offers a variety of art collections, some temporary. What I liked most is that themes were chosen. Within the themes all types of art is shown. E.g. within the theme "garden" they show romantic paintings, 3D-art, contemporary, etc. Seems to me there is always something to enjoy. (Litteraly)... It was great to see, although there was only two exhibitions that we were interested in (14 and 19 years old). It it's good for families and also it's super cheap, so it's ok that it's not as exciting as hoped. There was also not a long line witch was very nice.

This is a lovely modern museum with an array of interesting exhibitions during 2017. We loved The Garden and there was also a workshop for kids where they could make their own gardens.

When we visited it was during Easter on Friday. As most places are closed on the Friday of Easter, Aros was packed with people. However it was still a great visit although it was almost impossible to enjoy the audio exhibition by Kirkegaard in the New Nordic Series. Hopefully the museum will put some staff at this part of the... More

There were a variety of painters being shown plus a brilliant depiction of the different type of garden throughout history from some countries. The laid-out of the exhibition was well-tought outt and the design of the museum is quite something.
