Amazing museum, awesome views of Aarhus from their Rainbow roof. A great place to visit in Aarhus, the rooftop views are amazing. The interior design of the building very cool. The art collection is awesome. Definitely recommended.

Amazing place. Spent a couple of hours here but felt I’d only scratched the surface. Could easily go back and again and again. Particularly enjoyed ‘A Surreal Shock’, the 5m tall boy and, of course, the rainbow panorama.

We loved the rainbow walkway, the staff were really friendly and we also had nice food in the cafe. Tickets are quite expensive and some of the exhibitions aren’t really suitable for young children. For example there were two life size models with axes, knives and other weapons stuck in them.

We loved our visit from start to finish and appreciated being able to leave and come back which we did. There was a bit of everything for everyone and recommend spending most of your day here. The only criticism I have is that there were no period products when I would’ve needed them. The nearest place to get some was a good 15-20mins walk away.

Really enjoyed my time wandering around Aros. The top floor is the rainbow area and on a blue sky day was great. The other floors have some permanent exhibitions and some temporary ones. The Boy and The Baby are extraordinary and I couldn’t believe it when I stumbled across Warhol’s set of Marilyn Monroe pictures. The ground floor is more immersive art. Gift shop lovely and also the food in the cafe and restaurants.

A definite must do if you’re visiting Aarhus! The museum has many very well curated exhibitions portraying art of various forms and origins, though mainly Danish. The Rainbow Panorama was unfortunately closed but I guess it means I’ll have to come back again some other time!
