I went to this museum with my adult son and his friend. We are all pretty knowledgeable about WWII and have visited many military museums together in several countries. I didn't have high expectations but the lads were keen. However, my attitude changed very quickly....More

A military museum is normally full of weapons of all kinds, but here you feel like walking through Danish history, which is full of skirmishes with neighbours as well as participation in missions far away. This museum is very well organized and you feel relaxed...More

Lots of history related to Danish Military Life. Of particular interest were large display of small arms and items including uniforms from WW2. Climb on tanks not in great condition so watch your step.

This museum offers a plentitude of sights and activities, especially during the school holidays. The focus of the exhibitions is the town garrison and all things military. It is evident that the texts have been written by 'nerds' who know their field of expertise. It...More

This is a really worthwhile, small but specialist museum, so you can see all of it without boring, say, your partner (who might not be particularly interested in things like tanks, weapons and aircraft engines etc). Having said this it is also great for kids...More

This is a great place to take small children because some of the exhibits (tanks, motorbikes, artillery) can be clambered on - if there is a ladder up, you're allowed. So your son gets to shoot his sister with a huge gun and great glee....More

This place is great, if you're into anything war related, and you love machinery from that time era.

Beatiful and well maintained Meteor, F86, F104 and some others. Also a large collection of tanks and other vehicles outside. It is a 30 minute walk along the seafront from the centre of the city but well worth it.

This place is a hidden gem. Really enjoyed our visit to this museum, it's only a 15 minute walk from the centre of town. Lots of interesting displays available. Worth a visit if you get the chance.
