Together with the professional guide, you will visit the most charming places in the city. Ålborg has existed since about AD 1000 and is one of the oldest towns in Denmark.<br>You will have a chance to explore the city, while hearing fascinating facts and legends. The town recovered slowly from the Count’s War (a religious civil war, 1533–36) to become a major commercial centre in the 17th century and was Denmark’s second largest city until about 1850 taking closer look at these facts will make you surprised how many stories are hidden in the streets, buildings and corners of Aalborg. Your charming guide will tell you what is special and unique about living in this city. Perfect for those who are visiting the city for the first time and want to get the most of it!

Disappointed that this church was closed for the public on Saturdays. Sunday only open for mass. Week days open during business hours.

While Budolfi Cathedral is located at the heart of Aalborg, it is indeed a very nice building to look at from the outside. And luckily it is not clustered in by a myriad of all-too-close buildings, so you can view the building from every perceivable angle. This is indeed one of the more outstanding churches in Aalborg. The inside of the church, well, that is a church as they tend to be. Good for outside photos for tourists and visitors to Aalborg, or perhaps a guided tour can give you additional information about the origins and such of the church. But as a stand-alone tourist spot in Aalborg, it is not the most recommendable if you want to experience something memorable.

This striking cathedral can be found not far from the main hub of Aalborg city centre. Impressive and named after Saint Botolph, an abbott of Anglo-Saxon origin. Lots of redevelopment and repaving of the roads surrounding it’s entrance, so exterior views only possible at this time sadly.

This church is probably the most important building in the skyline of Aalborg. Anywhere in the city this one rises above the rest in the views.

The simplicity of the interior design is a great example of a lutherian church. The church was expanded during the second world war, which is barely noticeable, but look at the altar.
