Good choice for a sunny day

Nice walk around and various entertainment activities, especially for children's. The zoo has a very nice barbecue area that can be used for free, big plus.

This zoo has a great set of animals, tiger, lions, brown bear, polar bear, monkeys, birds, frogs, seal, etc. Also had a ice age exhibition when we visited. Had a great day with a 7 and a 14 year old.

I do not like Zoo, but sometimes if Zoo are well organized, I agree that it could be a good idea to show wild and endangered animals to children. Aalborg Zoo is a well organized place with friendly employees and I would like to suggest a visit. I read in numerous reviews that people saw bored animals. People, seriously. You... More

The zoo has quiet small cages for the animals, some looked pretty bored. Chimps and orangutan seem to have quiet small and a little outdated areas. Lion, bear and tiger looked bored. Restaurant served ok food but does it have to be on paper plates and plastic cutlery???

The animals here are clearly not enjoying their lives. The bear walked around in circles non-stop - a proof that the poor animal is mentally damaged. The elephant yard was completely empty, uninspiring and frankly very boring for the animals. None of the animals here seem to be OK. They are all suffering from lack of space and possibilities. I... We visited Aalborg zoo in late summer. It was a warm sunny day and we enjoyed spending time in the zoo. I got a really positive impression. There are many animals. Sea lions are great and they showed some cool tricks in the training session. I think it's a good place to spend a day.

Have been to many zoos around the world and this is second to none. There are many animals including the polar bear, penguins and kangaroos. The dinosaur park is popular among the kids. A must visit if you are in Aalborg.

The Tigers and lions have poor cages, and it's so sad to see them locked in there. There's a big playground where most kids seem to spend their visit to the zoo. The entrance fee is too expensive.

I have been coming here for years and I am always being impressed by the way they evolve. They do a great job in trying to inform the public and at the same time give the animal some decent enviroments.
